One of my favorite songs of all time....this is one of tbe great rock songs of all time. I met Jimmy Pankow who wrote this ,and told him that i want this played at my memorial service..He couldnt believe it. Peter can sing anything. Thats why i told you guys months ago to do this song....Chicago is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED. CRIMINALLY

This is probably my favorite Chi song. Great lyrics, great vocals, incredible bass and percussion, and Kath guitar at the end. They still perform this song regularly in concert.

There's still enough heft in the band at this point, but it was being scaled back in favor of pop. This is a great mix of the pop they'd end up doing but with some rock band weight to it. Feelin Stronger Every Day gives me the same vibe. And in both songs the transition to the second half of the song is tremendous. Always liked this song.

Peter's got a Stevie Wonderish thing happening towards the end as he goes into funk mode along with the rest of the band. Yeaaaaaah eeeeeeee.. Yeah yeah! Awesome song and easily one of the strongest from this album. ❤

The beginning reminded me of soap opera music. I guess it’s fitting since this seems like a love song to me. Love the high harmonies. Love how they built it up to the soulful, groovy sound at the end-that’s what I needed to feel satisfied. 😂

Hi, it’s awhile since I’ve watched one of your videos and I missed you guys! 😆 I’ve been a huge Chicago fan since I was a young kid (predominately late 60’s and 70’s-era Chicago, prior to the David Foster “popification” of the band in the 80’s). You really need to check out some videos from the band Leonid and Friends, who mainly do Chicago covers, but they have also done some songs from other bands (Steely Dan, Earth, Wind and Fire, Tower of Power, etc) and they have a couple originals. They are based out of Russia and the leader is a producer/musician from Moscow who started the band as a tribute to Chicago because he’s been a huge fan since he was a child. You won’t believe how phenomenal the covers are, with meticulous arrangements and incredible playing/singing. I just saw them play live in Massachusetts a couple months ago (I also saw them in 2019 during their first US tour) and they just as good live. If I already mentioned them in one of your previous videos…never mind! 😆

Chicago VII (leather album cover) - Searchin' So Long - I could tell the opening with strings threw you all for a loop! hahahah....However, Sifa your reactions to Peter Cetera's voice goes without saying!! I could tell his voice touched you. When this album came out I was completely blown away again by the virtuosity, musicianship and innovation of Chicago. All their instrumentals and songs with vocals are amazing. Chicago released CTA through Chicago XI with Terry Kath - Chicago VII reminds me of CTA in that double album of incredible charts. One of the other songs to review is Call on Me - written by Lee Loughnane (I believe his first) and is based on the divorce of his first wife. Peter's voice is incredible on that vocal and the horns rock!

This is an amazing album. I believe Peter's voice really shines on "Woman Don't Want To Love Me." He's hitting on some Al Green throughout. Also, Terry's guitar solo is like no other.

Hey, beautiful people and friends of great music! I know this song gave you a bit of heartburn at first. I think you expected the RnR experience from previous albums. I think this is where Chicago started moving into the next era...the one prior to their, "yacht rock" time in the '80's. You two are so great and fun and smart!!

Emulating the Beach Boys here. They would later work with Brian Wilson.
This is kind of the ballady Chicago they were trending to and which i hated but the orchestration and swells are so spectacular i did love this. Maybe my last fling with the band.

I'm going to subscribe for doing Chicago, but can you please play the non-hits of the 70s? EVERYONE does the same 5 songs. "Women Don't Want To Love Me" is sooo funky. THAT would be introducing even Chicago fans to new stuff and would separate yourselves from all the other channels like Joey who now gets 33 views. There's a million doing the same songs. "Oh, Thank You Great Spirit" is a great song and they sound so different. There's 3 lead singers. Documentaries on TH-cam, Terry Kath one is free.
