I for one is one of them. Often when I go through tough times I often ask myself "How would Lewis handle this situation?". I use Abu Dhabi 21 as an example and then go from there.
I think the hardest year of Sir Lewis Hamilton's life that he was referring to was 2011. Personally, in his life, that year sucked. Troubles with father Anthony because he had to drop him as his manager to let himself free to further his career in F1, troubles with his girlfriend at the time, Nicole Scherzinger, which was on and off until 2015 when they stopped. It affected him so much mentally; even his performances on track in 2011 were reflected by his mood on that day/week. Former McLaren mechanic, Marc "Elvis" Priestley commented on this: back then in 2011, and continuing with the Mercedes mechanics in 2015, the mechanics joked "It was to better for lap time to focus efforts on keeping their relationship good, than anything we could put on the car." Hamilton was later able to mend and grow the relationship with his father and now has grown into a healthier man mentally. Proud of him. ❤

I think you don’t understand how dominant and consistent you need to be win that much . If Max doesn’t lose the careless crashing even when he has the best car in the grid it’s gonna be very hard . Brazil was a classic example and Max said he in went to that corner knowing well Hamilton will not yield so he went in expecting to crash …. That’s why Schumacher and Hamilton have same championships but Schumacher lost a whole season in 97 for crashing someone to the wall . 94 he crashed Damon to the wall . Hamilton doesn’t crash easily that’s one thing Max should learn . Max is one of the most dangerous drivers in terms of how many crashes he has had
I genuinely feel grateful to have grown up supporting this legend through it all being an F1 fan since after Michael's days and learning about his story as I grew up after being a baseless Schumacher fan and never doubted his grind and skill through many bad times/"hate" or whatever you want to call it, I feel great to have witnessed the greatest of his time break every wall down and speak so well mostly about it all 😏🙌
That skydiving story is so real. I have gone up with people who talk a ton of stuff but when they get to the door their legs give out and they beg not to go 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You get the impression that he cannot manoeuvre the car how he wants because of how it's currently built. I hope God will grant him a car he can manage how he wants so he can get back to winning ways in 2023. As a Sport's Person, and a Human being, he has become a shinning star.
The first ever f1 race I watched was also his first ever f1 race, I remember watching him win his first championship and all 6 that came after. He's one hell of a driver and deserves a little more respect for the legend he is 🙌
An incredible human being. He’s Sir Lewis for a reason. Praying Mercedes can give him a championship wining car next year. He deserves to win his 8th WDC
Me 2!! Wich year you think he's talking about was the worst year of his career? Of course 2021 was a difficult one but I'm guessing the 2016 season teambattle with Rosberg
Guys, everyone, especially us competitive people, we have to protect ourselves against hate. Meaning, we can't dislike someone or talk smack simply because you think you are better. At the end of the day, you gotta earn that mess because history/time is not kind to ANYONE that is ok with winning regardless of how they got it including being gifted the win or cheating for it. That's why, whether Max or his fans like it or not, we will debate his first championship till the end of time. Let's get back to why we are here in the first place. Fangio, Moss, Senna, Hunt, Mansell, they didn't have time to think about that crap because most of their talent was absorbed by trying not to die! And that alone made it about who has the biggest balls and who is able to conquer all the elements to come out on top. Not this elementary bullshi* we are currently on about. Merry Christmas, God bless and see y'all next year 💪🏾
Even if Lewis never beats Michael's record in the future, just to have made it that far is still an achievement. Remember Lewis shared the track with all the greats, Alonso, Kimi, Seb, Schumi, Button. Can you imagine how many world champions he has raced with in his early days
Lewis is so calm in these most recent interviews. Before he was a little curt, when answering questions. He's over 35 now, he's like I don't have time for the BS. Yes, please ask me about Max for the 90th time today??? Cool. Imma get through this and then go sky dive. ✌🏽
I love both Max and Lewis, and I know it’s normal for rivals to don’t always like each other. But how I wish both of them would be on good terms and that we could have some good wheel to wheel racing between them. They are the two best drivers on the grid and I hope we just get some good fair racing between them. But as it looks now, with how Lewis and Max race differently against each other it’s a shame. They have good wheel to wheel with everyone else. I hope they find some middle ground between them.
If you’ve watched F1 for long then you know who is the crashing king and who doesn’t know how to race wheel and wheel , just check the races you’ll see
Max and Lewis seems to be one of the most tame rivalries compared to the historic rivalries in the past, Prost and Senna. Schumacher and Hakkinen. Lauda and Prost. Hill and Schumacher. Even Hamilton and Alonso was less trifling than what we have today. The fans on respective sides however is a completely different story. I may like one over the other but both are still the very best at what they do which is their passion of racing
Wow what an amazing man Lewis is, magnificent on and off the track, had goosebumps listening to that interview. Indeed the way he dealt with last year's rip off was inspirational and a great example to children, the guy was sporting and gracious and that will be remembered probably more than any of hos WDCs. Hope he gets more success in the furlture and of course nothing like that travesty of Abu Dhabi ever happens again. Good luck Lewis you're a legend, the goat and our king. 🏎️🏁😁👍

Well said!💯
What an amazing person! Always interested in listening! True True Legend ! Thank you!
What a humble man. Living legend imo.
Lewis...I know that he is a legend, but he is more than that. Every time he is a true inspiration, every year he is better and better. True champion, a real human beeing and example 💜💜💜
Yeah he was really good this year. Lewis 0 wins Max 15. I don't want to see when he does bad then.......LMFAO
@@F1nonBritishbiasFans Really? If You have a problem with Lewis, It's not mandatory to watch this king of interview 😉 or reply to my comment. I didnt mention Max....Then go and support Max, leave comm in his page, not here
@@F1nonBritishbiasFans Lewis is the most successful F1 driver dead or alive
@@maxverstappenworldchampion8290 Yes he is. He is also 38 and Max 25. Last time i checked in sports we don't compare people just about to retire. to careers that are just getting started. The reality is Max is going tonown EVERY f1 record by the time he is done.
@@F1nonBritishbiasFans 😂😂😂 that’s your wish . The reality is different. When Seb won 4 in a row what did people say ? In 2017 and 2018 when Seb was leading what did people say ?
Lewis Hamilton is a fighter a strong champion, watch him 2023 he will bounce back. Never give up Still he rise LH44 💜🥇🏆👊🏾
Respect to Lewis for his resilience and skills in F1. He has a good attitude and work ethic and is such an inspiration.
Thanks for sharing, Lewis Larbalestier-Hamilton the Best of his generation as a racer and incredibly humble.
I genuinely feel grateful to have grown up supporting this legend through it all being an F1 fan since after Michael's days and learning about his story as I grew up after being a baseless Schumacher fan and never doubted his grind and skill through many bad times/"hate" or whatever you want to call it, I feel great to have witnessed the greatest of his time break every wall down and speak so well mostly about it all 😏🙌
I really enjoyed this interview - I've always been a Lewis fan. Let's hope their car gets them back to the sharp end next year!
I love Lewis man
He's more relaxed this year which is fantastic to see!
#bless
nothing to prove
@@protopigeon he's already had it all of course he has nothing left to prove
The man was just chilling the whole year. Imagine giving him a worthy car and he gets serious next year...
That skydiving story is so real. I have gone up with people who talk a ton of stuff but when they get to the door their legs give out and they beg not to go 😂😂😂😂😂😂
love this... feels like last couple of years have made him show more of his humanity... ah true role model of and on the track
You get the impression that he cannot manoeuvre the car how he wants because of how it's currently built. I hope God will grant him a car he can manage how he wants so he can get back to winning ways in 2023. As a Sport's Person, and a Human being, he has become a shinning star.
Lewis, what an exceptional gentleman.
The first ever f1 race I watched was also his first ever f1 race, I remember watching him win his first championship and all 6 that came after. He's one hell of a driver and deserves a little more respect for the legend he is 🙌
This is such a good interview.
Surprised it hasn't more views. Lewis is very inspirational
Lewis really loves bullying people into skydiving 🤣
Great interview tbh, tend to be the same old F1 interviews but this is was different.
An incredible human being. He’s Sir Lewis for a reason. Praying Mercedes can give him a championship wining car next year. He deserves to win his 8th WDC
Lewis is just an amazing human being!! So easy to love him
Fantastic driver. Person. Awesome. GOAT.
The man has lightning in his eyes. Quick af.
I will be waiting for that book AND documentary! Lewis LEGEND!
Me 2!! Wich year you think he's talking about was the worst year of his career? Of course 2021 was a difficult one but I'm guessing the 2016 season teambattle with Rosberg
That year
The GOAT! he's had many up and downs, but he still kicks ass after all of it. The face Fernando had when Lewis first arrived was priceless.
beautiful message about gratitude and looking to positivity! you have a beautiful soul
An exemplary human. We'll see you in 2023, Sir LH.
You guys always deliver quality interviews. Great job
Great driver, and even greater human being
This was his grounding year. it's only gonna spur him on. 8 is coming.
Great wrap up 👌
The best 2 ever do it.
Merry Christmas, God bless and see y'all next year 💪🏾
I enjoy watching Lewis interviews. So refreshing and interesting. Smiled throughout. ❤
Indeed, it’s a great act.

Even if Lewis never beats Michael's record in the future, just to have made it that far is still an achievement. Remember Lewis shared the track with all the greats, Alonso, Kimi, Seb, Schumi, Button. Can you imagine how many world champions he has raced with in his early days
What record does Michael have that is better than Hamilton ? 7 titles each . Hamilton more wins ,more podiums ,more poles ….

Respect. Max's channel 4 interview was also what made me respect him more
Lewis is so calm in these most recent interviews. Before he was a little curt, when answering questions. He's over 35 now, he's like I don't have time for the BS. Yes, please ask me about Max for the 90th time today??? Cool. Imma get through this and then go sky dive. ✌🏽
Love this guy ❤ gratitude attitude
Great interview, Steve, you hit the nails on the head whilst keeping the respect. Looking forward to '23!
Why does everyone have to preface comments with “I’m not a Lewis fan”, is it impossible to pay respect to the man without saying that first?
Lol
Bc if ur a fan and give him love people call u a dts fan boy
Great interview, and loved Lewis’s words on Seb..
He’s such a lovely lovely lad how can anyone dislike ihim
Ask the toxic, racist Orange Army that question.🙄
@@maxverstappenworldchampion8290 yes, max verstappen, the guy who was crashed more in 7 years than Hamilton in 15 years
Wow what an amazing man Lewis is, magnificent on and off the track, had goosebumps listening to that interview.
🏎️🏁😁👍
Had a much stronger season than the points reflected. Made a few more mistakes than usual but pace wise was right up there since Canada
When they get that car right that he is helping to develop, he should be back to winning
Worst year was 2011 I’d imagine
Yep that's my guess as well.
Former McLaren mechanic, Marc "Elvis" Priestley commented on this: back then in 2011, and continuing with the Mercedes mechanics in 2015, the mechanics joked "It was to better for lap time to focus efforts on keeping their relationship good, than anything we could put on the car."
Hamilton was later able to mend and grow the relationship with his father and now has grown into a healthier man mentally. Proud of him. ❤
Supporting Lewis for his 8th title next year .
Great guy!
The greatest ever!! The other drivers on the grid are not even close to reach his level
Cmon Verstappen is now better than he ever was
