Ropes were stretched between them, and laundry was hung on them. Now, as we can see, this site is used as a parking lot. But these metal "gates" have never been swings. I see that Alfia doesn't know what these "gates" are for either. She is too young and in her childhood, the tradition of drying laundry in the yard is probably already a thing of the past.

In Moscow, in almost all old courtyards, such things remained standing, no one demolishes them, but they are not used for their intended purpose 😊 Recently I asked my grandson: what does he think these things are for? He didn't figure it out. I had to tell him. I'm not sure if he remembered my story 😊
Many people are more interested in the Classical singing of various exceptional Opera Singers and various Orchestras in Russia rather than local dancing halls. This is a great part of the charm in Russia in that they promote the Arts, family and Traditional values, which are fast fading in Western Countries especially the United States.

Young lady does have incredibly unique accent for a Russian speaker who speaks English :) It's sometimes Scottish-sounding, but most of the time she has Turkic-sounding pronunciation, possibly due to her mother tongue being Tatar or perhaps Chuvash .

Мне одному кажется, что лет 10 назад службы городского хозяйства города Электросталь работали лучше ? (много обшарпанных домов, не косят и не восстанавливают газоны, дороги не в очень хорошем состоянии.) Сейчас Электросталь явно не в лучшем состоянии.
