One thing people don't talk about as much, Negan revealed in this finale that he "made a choice" during the initial line-up, and the "Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo" was all fake. Meaning he was selective in choosing Abraham, as he was the biggest guy and posed the most threat.
Absolutely it was fake, and not wanting to kill Rick in front of his kid just shows that Negan put thought into what he was doing, he wasn't just a psycho swinging a bat.
@@CorsonDrax That's true, but I think it was also to draw out a bigger or more emotional reaction from the group because he wasn't satisfied with how team Rick reacted to Abraham's death. He took note of Glenn and Maggie's bond after Glenn's initial outburst, and he wasn't going to kill Maggie or any other female or a kid/Carl, so Glenn made the most sense from his assessment.
Hey, I'm still new to your channel and so have only managed to see a few of your early TWD reactions. I can't really comment much because I'm afraid to give away accidental spoilers. Just, I love your inputs. And this is an interesting discussion. As with a lot of other dilemma's in the past the whole saving Negan thing is huge one. And IMO, I get both sides/stands aka Rick vs Maggie, referencing that season 8 end scene with Maggie, Daryl and Jesus. I do agree with you that to start a new world and make peace you can't start by murdering someone, but I also understand those that want to kill him. It's not easy and they've all been through traumas and so seeing Rick's side may be difficult when you're not mentally on the same page. Let's see how this goes. Excited to start following your season 9 journey. I hope you'll enjoy the ride. I certainly did.
Rick and Negan would make an unstoppable team. Negan being alive is another example of carls memory living on, he’s the one that told Rick to not just kill him.
Regarding Eugene’s amount of time spent with the saviors, believe it or not he was only there from Day 602 (Rosita taking her shot & Losing Spencer & Olivia) - Day 628 (Eugene’s Master plan w/ the bullets ends the war) So a bit less than a month! And believe it or not, that’s about the same amount of time between when they escaped Terminus until they met Aaron & were lead to Alexandria 🤯 !
I feel like Carl's death affected Negan more than he let on, it's almost like he felt sad for Rick and tried hard to cover it up. Right before Rick sliced his neck you can see Negan froze, broke and was on the verge of tears, which left him open for the "knife" attack. It's similar to the ladt Rick and Shane stand off - I think Shane froze and broke when he was about kill Rick, probably realizing at that moment how much he loved Rick, which...again, made him vulnerable to Ricks "Knife" attack. Rick is actually a shankster lol.
I agree with everything you've said... though, I like to think that the Saviors will have some trust in Rick because at the end we seen our group helping the Sanctuary... bringing glass and people to help put it in.... growing food etc. Rick didn't just kidnap Negan and leave them all to fend for themselves, they are helping... so to me that in itself will earn some respect... I hope.

Glenn's was obviously just to reiterate a message cause Daryl punched Negan.

@@iketurner8212 maybe, yea. He might have subconsciously taken note of that... but idk if he planned on killing Glenn prior to the punch.
🎶Dan and Negan sitting in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g🎶 i knew you'd fall for him.
Excited for next season!

Yes, it sometimes seems longer than it is because it is spread out over so many episodes.

Yeah that final scrap with Rick & Negan was a bit more brutal in the comics lol Negan breaks Rick’s leg after he slashes his throat 😂
ccan u mby watch breaking bad one day
I think he already has
I asked him and he said he hasn't seen it yet, and he may talk about reacting to it in a video
