The container will fill in and look beautiful. Mimi's garden is such a peaceful place. I would probably be out there most of the time. So much to enjoy. Thanks to Mimi and Jenny for sharing 💕
I absolutely love Mimi's gardens! All that shade is wonderful PLUS just enough sun for what needs it! It would be so cool to live in a woodland area that's perfect for hostas, heucheras, astilbes, ferns & so much beauty! She does an amazing job & is blessed to have you to help her! Our mothers are so precious. My mom passed in 2011 & I still miss her so much.
The container adds such a pretty touch of color-bring us along when it fills in. It’s nice to see a shade garden because I have so much deep shade. This tour gave me some good ideas! As always, thanks for all the information.
I laughed and laughed when you said Brenna terrorizes your Mom's dog cause she wants to play. I have one of those. I've got a 3 yr old and a puppy who's 16 mths old. My 3 yr old dog runs to his kennel to get a "break" from the puppy. A few times he's shut his own kennel door. My puppy has boundless energy. My 3 yr old not so much! Thank you for sharing Mimi's garden with us
Absolutely love Mimi‘s garden! Everything is so well- placed and looks so natural, like it belongs there. Tell Mimi “thank you” and give her a big hug for letting you take us on a little tour 🙂💕
The columbine in your momma’s garden is an heirloom columbine called LEPRECHAUN’S GOLD it currently offered through bakers creek the plant will come out either variegated, solid green or both. I grew a stand from seed last year they bloomed this year and were glorious. They were easy to grow from seed as long as the seed is cold stratified, they are one of the ,most beautiful plants. They bloomed this year the 2nd year so I’m definitely starting more from seed. wish TH-cam allowed pictures to be posted!
So happy to see you use the Swedish Ivy. Years ago I had a beautiful one in a hanging basket. It was two feet wide and three feet long. I took it inside in the winter and it hung on my front porch in the summer until someone stole it, that broke my heart! Would love to see how it does for Mimi.
Love seeing Mimi's garden. It's the kind of look that some of my NC Sandhills garden has, with some shady spaces and natural pinestraw. I always see something in her garden that triggers an idea for mine. Looking forward to seeing it in person! 🥰
Wise words! This is a year that my garden mostly needs to take care of itself with just a few annuals and containers compared to last year. Love the container combo!
I’m sorry Jenny, what did you say? “Happy…?” My eyes had wandered to that darling hummingbird visiting Mimi’s feeder 😂😊 Mimi’s garden is a huge inspiration to me as I garden in a similar (yet mostly undeveloped) setting 😊
OMG I love your mom even more. I have Dobermans they are the best dogs so are German Shepherds. Love your mom's garden. It's so original and so pretty..
Mimi's garden is so beautiful. My sister has a garden like hers, set in the woods. THANK YOU so much for the pruning tip on the Azaleas. Mine sure need it after 25 yrs. They have a top bloom and a lower bloom. I knew timing was key and YOU reaffirmed that.
So nice to see all the fresh green growth. Here in Ontario Canada we had a frost this morning and I am impatiently waiting for my garden to burst with colour
I’m in va and we don’t have issues with dear either but my family is in Buffalo NY and they do. In the winter those babies are hungry and eat everything. One year they ate the bark on every one of my parents fruit trees so they are no more 😢
I have a few containers I emptied from last season when we painted and stained our deck. I keep telling myself I do not need to plant anything in those containers, but gosh do these combos make me want to plant them up!
I call the years of basic function “God’s Gardening” bc if it’s meant to be then God will take care of it when I am unable. I had a baby in January of 2021 and then an absolutely surprise miracle pregnancy in 2022. Now that my little volunteer sunflower ( I call her that bc she literally grew and bloomed where least expected!) is 14 months old, I’m seeing loads of projects that I want to do for the kids and how to enjoy the yard more.
So beautiful! I'm sure you've said in other garden tours of Mimi's garden but, how does she keep the slugs and bugs off all those hostas? She would need a pallet of slug bait!
Good morning Jenny - I'm a few days late in seeing this video but wanted to let you know I just bought a Columbine called Early Bird Purple Yellow, a beautiful purple with white inside and a yellow center. Could be the one Mimi has but I couldn't see the center to see if there is any yellow.
Mimi’s garden is beautiful:) when you were talking and planting there was a hummingbird drinking right behind you:) I wanted to let you know that that ivy is one that takes off and grows like crazy, once it reaches the dirt it sends out feelers and it get out of control. Just wanted to let you know:) do hostas come back every year and if so, do you cut it down? How does it do with snow and very cold weather? We are here in calif .we are a zone 9. Tfs and God bless:)
Hi Jenny! Do you spray for deer, and if so what do you use? The deer ate out my whole shade garden last year and I was devastated. I had gorgeous mature hostas ferns hydrangeas and they ate just about everything and I was so heartbroken so this year I’m trying something called deer out I got off Amazon I’m keeping my fingers crossed that that works but if you do spray for them, can you tell me what you use, please?
I need help with my hydrangeas. In middle tennessee, they're just not doing anything. As much as I love them, i'm thinking about just getting rid of them. The old varieties get too cold in the winter and never Bloom in the spring. The new varieties that I planted last year greene up, but never add one single Bloom
Do you guys deal with ticks or other bad biting bugs. Do you and your mama use anything or always wear long pants? When I visited the deep south it was so humid I couldnt think of gardening in pants. I would die.

I just love Mimi's gardens. That planter is gonna look awesome. Please show us in a few months. Thank her for letting you share with us. 😊❤
Will do!

I love it when you show off Mimi’s garden. I live in South Carolina and our property looks a lot like hers. I love getting ideas for shade.
MIMI'S garden is the BEST!!

Jenny, you must promise to show your Mom’s hydrangeas when they are in bloom. They will be such a beautiful sight.
You got it!!!
Another beautiful garden. We did get to see a hummingbird at the start. 🌻

I am blessed to have that same columbine, received from my friend Jeri, love it and it will self-sow if you leave the seed heads. So beautiful

That mom garden. .oh wow beautiful. Stunning😊
I didn't know you could prune begonias...love watching you as I always get great ideas and learn something new
Always fun to visit MiMi’s beautiful gardens!
That westin urn would look wonderful on a little square pedestal! Ya know, just to raise it above the plants a little bit. ❤❤
Obviously, all your family has 'green' thumbs. Thanks for a lovely tour.
Thanks for taking us along to Mimi’s garden! Can’t wait to see the planter fill in:)
Beautiful, Jenny--just beautiful! 😊

I used that ivy in my Pamela Crawford planter last year and loved it!
Great to know!!!

Just gorgeous. Wish I could join the Signature Experience this year… just not in my cards this year. Thank you for sharing.
So beautiful! I'm sure you've said in other garden tours of Mimi's garden but, how does she keep the slugs and bugs off all those hostas? She would need a pallet of slug bait!
My 8 year old's fav color is purple. She saw that Columbine and she said " I LOVE IT!"

Thank you Jenny, does Mimi have to spread slug bait everywhere for control and do you know how to control Leaf Miner in columbine? 🇨🇦👏🇨🇦
Hey, my adult kids are still required to consider my dog their sister! Lol! So, Rosie would be your sister, which would make Brenna her neice! 😂😂
Where did Mimi get tree shaped spinner in her yard?
What was the hydrangea she said grew best in the shade? Thank you.
Hi Jenny!

Hi 👋 Jenny
Beautiful container but it needs a pedestal to been seen! ❤❤
I always hit the like button but apparently my tablet is giving me a proble but i. Always love your videos ❤
Thank you so much 😀
One of my annual containers I planted caladiums. This is my time growing them and the leaves have stayed drooped over. What am I doing wrong?
🙋

Enjoyed the tour, thx. cgzone8
Morning Jenny! How do you deal with mosquitos, especially at Mimi's house?
