As a sovereign nation SL is determined to follow path of friendship with all nations. Instead of myth "Chinese Debt Trap" you can talk about Wall Street Bond Trap, which is what brought bought financial bankruptcy to Sri Lanka. Hambantota was an example of local mismanagement, rather than a foreign debt trap. Sri Lankan Government is completely responsible for their incompetence, no need to pass the buck to others.
As a Sri Lankan we welcome direct foreign investments from all friendly countries with equitable terms and transparency.

Sri lankan president who is anura kumara dissanayake dosen't have atleastly 50% of votes because most of sri lankans don't like to him. that's why because he makes lot of lies. I don't know why he does this is. Whatever i think he can't understand english because he didn't complete his school time as well. He isn't to appropriate to position of president. his political party has killed thousand of peoples During the black july (88-89) in sri lanka.when sri lanka listed to bankrupt in 2022 he was a member of parliament. He told to entire sri lankan diaspora to avoid the send foreign reserves to sri lanka. I think he is a some serial killer. So now lot of sri lankans will blame to me here. Worse still, these governments had no strategic plans to repay the loans through economic growth but instead focused on exploiting funds for personal gain through bribery. China is not to blame here; over the last 15 years, it has been Sri Lanka’s largest direct foreign investor, playing a pivotal role in infrastructure and development.
