Blaze is an under rated singer
Also same here. My dad showed me this song when I was 6 years old and since then I fell for metal. It was always my source of happiness, my inspiration and my escape from reality, when I needed it.
I love Bruce but blaze nailed this and even took it home by belting out the lines at the end ( which Bruce sadly never does on this song- one can only dream of hearing that one day)

@@andyb1653 He takes shit because he doesn't have the same range as Bruce and had to sing ten years worth of material written for Bruce. Saw them live with Blaze and he was great. Seen them with Bruce and that was also great. I've also seen Paul on a small club tour where he mainly played songs from Maiden's first two albums and that was great too. :)

I think I've just become more selective. Some stuff I used to like are just stupid now and other things are getting my appreciation more. - That's what happens when you grow up or mature, I guess.
He became more than decent later on. - Check out his newer performance for acoustic arrangements and you can tell. It does him more justice as well.

I have always liked Blaze yeah his style isn't for everyone however I loved his vocals on Sign of the Cross and Virus, a important part of Maidens history, you never know they might have packed it in around that time, I think X Factor is underated, mind blowing darkness in that album, Blaze's solo stuff is excellent but it is down to personal preference in relation to vocals, looking forward to a new album soon, and so glad that Bruce recovered from his illness, up the Irons 🤘😜🤘
Yah. If Blaze did not came up to Iron, hardly the band will bring some new stuff. X factor was darker and virtual XI more funny in some aspects. So when Bruce and Adrian came back, Iron Maiden became more progressive and an skilled band.
