- Full match replay of Luke Littler vs Damon Heta in the Quarter-Finals of PDC Darts UK Open 2024, 3rd March, in Butlins Minehead. Final 8, QF, Quarter Finals.
NOTE - minor audio sync issues. Occurs during walk-on and halfway through game. Out of my control but thankfully only for a very short period of the game. - กีฬา

17 years old acted perfectly well. Wasn’t rude, dealt with his disappointment by taking a little second to himself. He’ll polish that side of himself but he was just fine. Only issue he might want to take action on is asking Price to take him to the gym.

It is of benefit generally to be fit. At 66 years of age I can still do 70+pressups effortlessly. That said, the only birds I can pick up are pre cooked chickens from Lidl at £4.99.@@Gh_7591

What a crazy game
The thing about playing at this level is that you need sports psychologists and life coaches around to have a quiet word now and again. LL is an incredible talent for his age but he needs guidance in how to behave in defeat as well as victory. Nothing will lose you fans so quickly as turning your back on a victorious opponent and putting your darts away with a long face like he did tonight. Hopefully, he will receive advice and learn.

Incredible standard of Darts in this game, 105+ averages, 40%+ Checkout.
The first 5 legs could be the best opening 5 legs that we have seen. It was absurd how rarely they missed.

@@NattyNickDxB it’s basic sportsmanship, shake hands straight after the game, win or lose. He has no issues doing it when he wins. Someone just needs to take him to one side because the fans will be on him if he keeps doing it

Inexperience cost Littler, especially not going for the 161 with Heta on 170. You don't give any professional a sniff, Heta didn’t take it but it shook Littler enough and missed 3 doubles because of it. Cost him the match.
Has a lot of learning to do, then again its his first full season, he's learning all the time and he has a big target on his back.
Brilliant from Heta, he was sensational and only for a couple of shaky moments in the last 3/4 legs, it was near faultless.

Taylor used to do the same thing when he lost. Turned his back and took all day to pack his darts away. I would have just shook hands with the officials if I was Heta then shook hands with Littler.

There are 2 winners in this match imo.
And it might have actually been better for Luke to have lost this match. He only made one big mistake in this match not going for the D bull checkout with hets on 170. Littler should never ever do that again.
Especially see how well Hets had been playing.

Weird move by Littler on the 155. I'm sure when he saw Heta hit the second treble his nerves were just shot. Could've really helped him out there to put the nerves back onto Heta and just worry about your next shot IF you miss the checkout. But overall a fantastic match. Can't be disappointed. Heta is the man.
Handing in my Aussie card, I gave Heta no chance of winning this and he goes and pulls out the performance of a lifetime. Ill take my humble pie with sauce thanks Damon

That's a few times I've seen Littler it's as if he doesn't want to congratulate the guy that's just beat him, putting your darts away with your back turned doesn't make littler look good, don't get me wrong he has been a breath of fresh air for darts and is a phenomenal player, just a wee thing that annoys me a bit, he's the future of darts so maybe changing that will see him in a even better light 👍

@@davidcox9674 My opinion will always be the same, you give professional players in any sport the benefit of the doubt. If a player instead deliberately provoked another player, or attacked them just because they lost then I would have serious problems with that player.
I believe what Luke did wasn’t that, and instead he was just coming down off the tension of the game, once he’d calmed down he hugged chatted and congratulated Heta
Littler needs taking down a peg or two to make him a better person for the future. No excuse to throw your toys out the pram even if you have not long left it.

It's satisfying to see Littler lose, becoming full of himself and believing his own hype. He needs careful management, not some yes-man who's just going to squeeze every penny out of him and watch him burn out. Also, he needs to lose some weight; it's not healthy carrying around that tractor tyre with him.
