Not too long after the publication of the first series Simrock demanded Dvořák to compose a sequel. However, Dvořák did not feel like daring to compete with his already famous first book, thus eight years have passed before he decided. But after he did, he got fully absorbed in work and the composition was finished within a month. Folk authenticity is no longer the main goal in the second series, which is more complex and even serious. Similarly to the first it is also not dedicated exclusively to Czech national dances, featuring dances of Slovakian (no.1), Lachian (no.2) or Serbian (no.7) origin.

この曲は私に明るさや光、命を与えてくれます。ありがとう🤗
This is my favourite of all of them. Don't know why it doesn't get more love.
In the first few bars, Dvorak accidentally created boogie-woogie rock n' roll... Quite an accomplishment.
Lol
But yes it is
😊😊
These way of having both staves on a single page at all times is pretty cool for playing solo
Impressive version. Thank you so much.
I don't know, but no.6 here is inexplicably beautiful to me.
