Love your scrappy sweater! I checked with my local independent bookseller and Laerke Bagger’s new book is available for preorder and will be released in the fall. Also love your champagne cardi ❤
Hey Lauryl! I’ve gone down the colorwork knitting rabbit hole at the moment and am trying to finish some heavier gauge projects before spring warms things up! Love all the colorful fiber you plan to spin! 💕 Lorien
Lorien I am so tempted by color work right now, I just know if I cast on the weather will get warm and it will be hard to finish I’m currently dreaming in spring 🖤
That scrappy sweater is gorgeous! Its not that Coogi-esque, but it reminds me of that era of knitwear, just really fun and unique. And you have such a great eye for color, that's such a wearable palette while still being fun with the sparkles. If you don't get a thousand compliments when you wear it, I'd be shocked. It looks special. I'm a new knitter, so I don't have many scraps, but this is very inspiring.
Tanya thank you, in theory you could use a main color and just use scraps for the little bits if you can’t resist casting on, I can totally see the Coogi vibe
Hey! I was out of town and in my packing panic couldn't find the right needle but once I got home I found it and have most of one sock done (and I love it and it would probably be done if I didn't keep putting it on, lol). I also immediately went back to work - so no big spinning updates but man I love that red combo for you! I am still planning on the traveler shawl though and probably a sweater... but I don't know which one yet. your sweater is absolutely gorgeous!
Emily I’m so tickled that you are liking the socks, I just barely got started spinning and realized that my bobbins are 4 ounces so I had to plan a little better how I was spinning, I am excited to see yours, I am really interested to see how people are spinning for the traveler series 🖤
Your scrappy sweater is gorgeous! I went a little fiber crazy at RCYC this year, especially at NW Wools from their trunk show in the back today. I’m also planning on doing a traveler for spin it to knit it and bought 3 braids from fat cat knits for the project. AND I bought a braid of superstar on BFL as well because it was just too pretty to leave behind.
The Laurie sweater is very amazing and inspirational! I have the book and now will take another look and use some of my stash and left-over yarns!

Angela I can’t wait to see your traveler 🤩, the fiber at nw wools was dangerous!
Can’t wait for her next book to come out in English! There is an insane pattern in that book. Sweater is gorg!
I’m really looking forward to the second book, part of me was almost going to try to get a non English version and try a little Google translate 😀
@@westmaven if you do and it works - let me know!! :-)
I need to meet up with you at ritual dyes some day. I love the fiber your son picked!!!!!!
Yes Nicole, we absolutely do!
