    Love It! I always talk about having a front witch, even a removable hitch mounted for front or rear just for those special occasions😉💪🏻

    Damn that sand is gnarly, love the painted boat! I’m gonna do mine some dark gray shades like that this summer and take out the bench seats

    The Game Wardens used to have a 115/90 jet on I believe a tunnel hull back about 15 years ago. Not sure if it's still in service. We saw them many times floating from PK to Rochell's canoe rental.

    Why do people act like the 4 stroke is better, lighter, simpler and more powerful that the 2 strokes ? Simply not true. 2 stroke far simpler, lighter, more power, more torque. People buy the industry propoganda and buy more complex, heavier engines that will need more expensive service, more parts. Anyway, love the channel Sir . I had a 15.5 mod V Jon with a 40/30 Johnson Jet back in the mid 90's , great times on the Susquehanna....prices sure have gone up !!!

      4 strokes definitely are not lighter. I do find them simple, but not two stroke simple. Just from a seat of the pants I think the 4 stroke has more bottom low end power on these jets. As where the two stroke need to be turning to build it's power. All that said I like the 4 stroke for the fuel consumption. On a comparable boat with comparable HP I believe I could go twice as far. One other thing is the 2 strokes are getting old and that does matter on reliability unless you just redo everything. Also I am not a fan of Mercury punch blocks when they need a rebuild.

    I learned... by watching an episode of "Lone Star Law" that it's now illegal in Texas to drive or park on the river bed.... sucks.

    Will you do a trip below the possum kingdom dam there’s a boat ramp at the highway 16 bridge going down stream or start from I-20 in Santo and run up stream? Very interested in those waters and love watching your videos

    • @DennisBohannan
      @DennisBohannan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have ran from Rochelle all the way to the dam. Also have rode from the county road that fords the river up to mineral wells. And on this trip ran from lake granbury up past I20. From granbury to PK is a great stretch of river and not a very easy of water is low. If you can get 200 300 CFS it be the best.

    Would you be willing to do a video on sharpening impellers and maybe touch on shimming? Great content btw, always good to watch a Dennis jet video!

    • @DennisBohannan

      Thanks. I have never done a video because of possible leading someone in the wrong direction. I just keep the leading edge clean and eyeball the clearance. I have gotten it too tight and lock the motor down.

      @@bullfrogoutdoors2666 the bottom side of impeller that you see when you look up into intake. I just file off the dings. Being impeller is turning 5000 it is best to not take off same on each blade to keep it in balance.

    Hey there, I’m from the Netherlands, I’m amazed by these video’s, way to much fun! We dont have many of these boats, nor locations like these, here but I’m having a look for a boat like this. What is your opinion on running a jet outboard on a tunnel hull instead of a flat bottom? What is the difference? All best.

    • @outboardjets6861
      @outboardjets6861 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A mod v tunnel hull runs almost as shallow as a flat and offers much better handling

    • @DennisBohannan
      @DennisBohannan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is the lack of pumps due to covid-19 restrictions in CA. or just the demand gone up. Possible combinations. Weird times.

      @@DennisBohannan When Covid hit and the number of recreational activities that were available decreased, those remaining saw a surge in interest. Just like the Outboard shortage and Boat shortage, high demand is the reason for our backlog.
