I love how the original version (as well as Jyc Row's remix) is an all powerful spirit prophecizing some apocalyptic future that serves as a warning, this version sounds like it's coming from a survivor of the future who is simply recounting what life is now like in this future.
I know I'm years late but I really friggin love this cover. Somber, almost like one's walking through the wasteland, gives me vibes of Forever Autumn by the Moody Blues from the War of the Worlds musical. That same vibe of imagining someone walking through a dead wasteland.
I am in love with the style of this cover. really changes the feel of the song and i love it. Everything from that amazing guitar solo to the piano in the background.
This is a really good take on the song, has some of the feel of the original but has a great, strong 4everfree sound to it. Love what you do, keep on making amazing music. Oh and great little guitar solo at the end, I wish I could get a nice sound like that out of my guitar.
4Everfreebrony- Check Awesome singing skills- Check Awesome instrumental skills- Check Best song in show- Check Song about best pony- Check I think this is my favorite cover from any MLP song, and I like this version better than the original. Keep on keeping on with amazing music. Show me the ways you keep blowing my mind. You'll continue to find other ways to blow my mind. You always do.
woaaa... as always so thrilling, absorbing, dat piano, and cello, that voice, everything is beauty and majesty in this georgous cover... Reallly great job! :D /)
Honestly, I like the original better for its grim grittiness, but that extra stanza in there should be in the original. I was not ready for that. Bravo.
i wonder... do the show creators watch fan made videos, read fan made writing, or look at fan made artwork? i like to think they do. if i was to gather a fan base. i would absolutely love to see things as awesome as this inspired by something i made
I'm with you on a lot of the show's music (though I'd be lying if I said that a lot of them don't bring me nostalgic tears). Great job on this one, though!
I love it! I didn't really care much for the actual song in the episode, but this version gives a different, even more tragic vibe to it. In a good way, of course.
Awesome track!! By the way, on your bandcamp, the a capella version, it sounds like a jump cut between "I see" and "days neither fun...". If it's meant to be that way, cool stuffs! It just sounded a bit wrong...
I like it, it's very lovely to listen to, but it doesn't really have a strong feel to it, emotionally, and considering the song, that's kind of a big part of it. Still very pretty, though.
I like the notes are partly different but you stay close to the original nonetheless ^^ The huming and the weird echo (is that reversed ? or is it just a volume trick ? I don't know) sounds cool ! Great cover !
omg i am so late on this amazing track damn this is good stuff dude! how do you do this? ive been wanting to do cool covers kinda like this but i haven't found a good software for phones or for free on computers yet anyways keep up the amazing work! cant wait for more like this in the feature! :D
Hey, a kindred spirit! I also don't care for many of the songs in the show itself. I have fallen for a few remixes and covers of songs I didn't care for in the show, though.
Gotta say. Not a fan of this one. I loved the expansion you made to the original but the upbeat tone ( especially that Santana guitar solo) just kind of take away the somber chilling feel i believe the song is supposed to have. My opinion is this song should be a haunting melody that makes one quiver in both fear and excitement.
Of course! Yeah, this one is supposed to be much different, and therefore it won't have the same feel as the original. I see where you're coming from, though.
This one definitely feels somehow... disconnected from the story, as of a bystander watching the end approach, and I think it's best interpreted in this light. The emphasis in the phrase "The future should be filled with magic" has been shifted a bit, and I really think it works. It now feels wistful instead of judging. I must also contrast the use of drums here with the use of drums by Jyc Row in his cover. Jyc captured the original feeling beautifully, and I daresay even amplified it. While Jyc's drums intensify the mood, 4everfree's drums dissipate it and draw it out.
I love how the original version (as well as Jyc Row's remix) is an all powerful spirit prophecizing some apocalyptic future that serves as a warning, this version sounds like it's coming from a survivor of the future who is simply recounting what life is now like in this future.
It really does! I’m changing the lyrics in my head to fit that

Maybe by a radio station in Fallout Equestria, the Northern Mixers.

I basically never listen to fandom covers or remixes of show songs, just their original things, but this one caught my eye.
This is amazing! I loved the original and this version is even better!

That's a beautiful cover
Did I miss a secret brony musician congress where everyone covers awesome classics?
reminds me of the Beetles or something else around that period of music. Its good.
Deep breaths now I can hear a bit of Pink Floyd on there and Hurts (slightly)
Dat solo... So rock!!! A tough rock
That picture reminds me of Estonian flag! Amazing song, amazing voice. You are the best!
Beautiful! I don't know what else to say.

By the way, on your bandcamp, the a capella version, it sounds like a jump cut between "I see" and "days neither fun...".

I didn't hear that at all. Just listened to it, too.
Amazing. Simply amazing. Thank you. Keep it up. PLEASE!😁
This is great
Amazing! :D
More music like this i love it
You are a very, very good tenor, friend. Although based on some of your low notes, you're no stranger to baritone range.
OH MY GODNESS SAKE OF AMERICA THIS.
I like it, it's very lovely to listen to, but it doesn't really have a strong feel to it, emotionally, and considering the song, that's kind of a big part of it. Still very pretty, though.
sick cover
Well Happy Holloween
I like the notes are partly different but you stay close to the original nonetheless ^^
The huming and the weird echo (is that reversed ? or is it just a volume trick ? I don't know) sounds cool !
Great cover !
It's just a volume trick. ^^
ok, thank you very much,
that information might come in handy someday =D
... that's why it sounded like the Doppler effect xD
Thank you!
The best song ever :D

Dylan Wight definitely
this would have been great on trump to realize of his evil

@@4everfreebrony Did you write your own lyrics for the second verse, or did you find them elsewhere?
@@punbug4721 I wrote the second verse lyrics myself. ^^
This version sounds more melancholy and sad to me, like someone singing it after the apocalypse already happened.
It's not bad, but Personally I favor the Original.
Amazing!
