This is honestly the only MLP:FiM song I've ever posted as a cover. A fun (maybe not-so-fun) fact about me is that I don't enjoy a ton of the songs in the show itself, except for a few, like this one, Hearts as Strong as Horses, and Babs Seed, but other than that, I just think the lyrics are a little too cheesy. So, I thought I'd do covers of the ones I do enjoy!

I love how the original version (as well as Jyc Row's remix) is an all powerful spirit prophecizing some apocalyptic future that serves as a warning, this version sounds like it's coming from a survivor of the future who is simply recounting what life is now like in this future.

I know I'm years late but I really friggin love this cover. Somber, almost like one's walking through the wasteland, gives me vibes of Forever Autumn by the Moody Blues from the War of the Worlds musical. That same vibe of imagining someone walking through a dead wasteland.
Maybe by a radio station in Fallout Equestria, the Northern Mixers.

It is the best cover on this song I have ever heard.
This is a really good take on the song, has some of the feel of the original but has a great, strong 4everfree sound to it. Love what you do, keep on making amazing music.
Oh and great little guitar solo at the end, I wish I could get a nice sound like that out of my guitar.

I like it, it's very lovely to listen to, but it doesn't really have a strong feel to it, emotionally, and considering the song, that's kind of a big part of it. Still very pretty, though.

Gotta say. Not a fan of this one. I loved the expansion you made to the original but the upbeat tone ( especially that Santana guitar solo) just kind of take away the somber chilling feel i believe the song is supposed to have. My opinion is this song should be a haunting melody that makes one quiver in both fear and excitement.
Of course! Yeah, this one is supposed to be much different, and therefore it won't have the same feel as the original. I see where you're coming from, though.
This one definitely feels somehow... disconnected from the story, as of a bystander watching the end approach, and I think it's best interpreted in this light. The emphasis in the phrase "The future should be filled with magic" has been shifted a bit, and I really think it works. It now feels wistful instead of judging. I must also contrast the use of drums here with the use of drums by Jyc Row in his cover. Jyc captured the original feeling beautifully, and I daresay even amplified it. While Jyc's drums intensify the mood, 4everfree's drums dissipate it and draw it out.

This version sounds more melancholy and sad to me, like someone singing it after the apocalypse already happened.
It's not bad, but Personally I favor the Original.
