Wtf heard about that the first time here. The pathogen that's spreading this deadly desease is called Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis if anyone wants to read up on it and it has already made like 200 species of frogs and other amphibians extinct 😢

Is it Chitrid fungus? Frogs are the canary in the coal mine - the front line animals that are the first to suffer when the environment suffers.
There was one year where I was walking down the road I live on, and I found two leopard frogs at the edge of the swamp. They kinda decided to be friends and would greet me every day. They would sometimes let me hold them. Miss those two sweeties.
That's really unusual as leopard frogs are usually so skittish and quick to use their camouflaged to disappear. What a special bond you formed with those two.
They are absolutely adorable, I didn't know you needed gloves to handle without hurting them.
Frogs are very sensitive to any sort of chemical such as soap on ur hands or the grease of your fingers
If you do handle a frog, rinse ur hands with purified and clean water, otherwise it’s best to use a glove
They can absorb oils and things on your hands through their skin. If you do need to handle them with bare hands, do not do so often and for a very very short period of time.
Frogs does have that pretty green on them they are so amazing to watch

The message at the end is so incredibly important to anybody that is considering getting a pet. Bird, fish, reptile etc. Anybody conisdering it, please do the proper research and know what you're getting into. It's the worst when such a beautiful creature loses its life due to a complacent human. Treat your animal as if it is the only living thing you've ever found in the void of space. We are lucky to have them with us on earth.

Ive ALWAYS LOVED FROGS, SO CUTE & THEY DEFINITELY HAVE THEIR OWN PERSONALITIES...I Get so upset when people run over frogs, obviously accidents happen but some people dont take the time to understand frogs and other reptiles like lizards etc..nature is beautiful & peaceful. .This lady takes great care of her frogs, i can tell she loves them❤🫶🐸

We have kept frogs for over 7 years now ( green tree frogs ) and they are amazing little pets ,our kids have grown up around them and have learnt to handle them with great care,my daughter has depression and find so much comfort when with the frogs,she may be having a bad day but she can’t help smiling and laughing at the frogs when they do their froggy things

You obviously have a wonderful relationship with them, and they are beautiful and well taken care of. Maybe you could include some live plants in their enclosure bringing them natural smells etc? They really are beautiful and they do love you.

I had a giant green tree frog she was very old when she passed over the froggy rainbow, she had free roaming at night in the house, but when she flopped on my face one night I thought I'd adjust the house rules a bit, a cold frog at 3am is not a good way to wake up!😁😄😄

These little guys are originally from Australia I think? I remember seeing a video of them being rescued from a toilet they were hiding in during winter, and the girl used her glass shower as a temporary enclosure for them while she nursed them back to health. They are really some of the cutest and most personable frogs I've ever seen.
We used to have pet tree frogs at my old kindy. We'd take turns taking them home and taking care of them. My family would catch dozens of flies for them to eat and it was amazing to watch them in action. they were also very fun to hold because they were kind of squishy to the touch and pretty weighty too. Those are thick arse frogs. I don't see or even hear many of them these days but they used to be everywhere.

i LOVE frogs and toads! i live out in the country in NE texas. 20 acres with a big pond also. so i have tons of frogs and toads. they are so cute! i love their noises, and YES they are noisey! omg, when i am on the phone the person on the other side can hear them! not kidding! i love them. they do tons of great things like bug eating, mosquito eating!!! mosquitos kill more people than any other animal! and frogs and toads eat them! frogs dont do anything wrong! they are welcome here!

Hi, I have been rescuing Australian green tree frogs for about 2yrs now, I have 12 all different ages, they are as u say great little and fat mates. I live in the bush, and there are owls, snakes, birds etc that eat them. Not that that's not natural and I love all creatures, I just don't want to lose the frogs. I've created a natural environment with big pond and plants. So when their healthy I let them go to breed. I also breed banded crickets, oh isn't that fun. I suffer from depression too, and they make me laugh heaps, I want to do a video, but I'm not sure I would be very good at it.🤣🌈🇦🇺

White’s green tree frogs are the best!! Aka dumpy tree frogs. And there are definitely some scary and even poisonous frogs out there… like Pac-Man frogs! Even tomato frogs are pretty gnarly and grumpy, just wanna eat. And they lose poison irritants from their pores. PAC man frogs are just a brightly colored face with a mouth, and some little legs, that never stops eating! And it HAS teeth. Same with African pixie frogs. But not these… “dumpies” are the bomb. I must get some of the new color morphs I’ve seen, purple, yellow, spotted, blue even.

Are frogs capable of behaviours and relations which are independent of being instinctually driven. Do they seek and respond to what we would view as care and love. In their natural environments do frogs demonstrate what we define as being joy and sadness? Is it possible that these 2 frogs respond to this young lady as being more than a provider and a means for survival?
At the end of the day, relative to this instance (and similar ones), it doesn't really matter. If the relationship she has with them is beneficial to her health and well-being then that's what's important (so long as the frogs are being cared for proper and not used in a manner that's detrimental to their well being). But I am curious to know if frogs are capable of enjoying, and missing, a humans company. Or in this instance is she just attributing higher emotions to actions and behaviours that are sparked through instinct and nothing more.
Not sure what to think about a human who has no coping mechanism for "depression" other than a could of frogs. Did this person become an adult at any point in her life?

Why the rubber gloves?
Rubber gloves can be used when handling certain animals to protect both the animal and the handler. In this case, Cristina may be wearing rubber gloves to prevent any potential harm to the frogs from substances or oils on her skin, and to protect herself from any toxins that the frogs might carry on their skin💜🐸🤗

Why are you wearing gloves ?
Frogs have sensitive skin, and chemicals from soap or the oils from your hands could damage their skin, so gloves are necessary if she wanted to hold her frogs.

It's sad they are spending their lives in a tiny tank.exotic animals should never have been brought into homes by humans. They should inhabit jungle regions and have an endless plethora of vegetation, trees, giant leaves, humidity, rain, light and shade to experience in their little lives. Instead, their whole existence will be behind glass, in a two foot by one foot tank. Tragic. "I have depression they help me". Of course, the human condition, to think of yourself, your needs, what an animal can do for you. What about the animal's life and mental health? What about their existence needs and happiness? Absolutely horrible.
