Trial of the Camino: St Jean Pied de Port to Roncesvalles

Looking for my next challenge , I have been researching , reading books ,watching films and TH-cam about The Camino de Santiago Compostela , the way of St James. The Frances route is about 500miles long and its first section begins with a walk over the Pyrenees. With only a week's annual leave , we journey down to the French Pyrenees , St John Pied de Port , a stunningly beautiful town nestled in the mountains , is is vibrant and full of hope.
The journey we took 18 miles nearly 5000 feet upwards ,was stunning , we met lots of friendly pilgrims starting their journey. It took us 8 hours to complete
My plan is to start the journey properly next year , it will take around 6 weeks and is going to be an amazing adventure .
First I need some hill training

It was a gift from my husband. Think he bought it over the Internet. It was very comfortable and I will be using it this year when I attempt the full camino
