I am Lisa , I like going walking , exploring the Coast paths , National Trails, river and canal walking , mountains. We own a Sprinter Van which we take with us to explore the countryside and continent , this also enables my walking with AJ often being support crew.
We work hard and walking is a way of finding that head space to manage this .
My video making is basic , but I hope I manage to capture the experience .
Enjoy my shared memories , I have had lots of fun making them

Walking the Scilly Isles St Agnes #islesofscilly #cornishcoast #hikingadventures #adventurewalks
Quick turn around, supper on St Mary's and then back on the ferry to go to St Agnes, we loved this beautiful small island, with its church, small cove beaches and of course the Turks Head pub. We were sad that our island hoping days were coming to an end but enjoyed the rest of our time relaxing and managed a boat trip looking at the local bird and wildlife.
We both know we will be returning, we found the islands peaceful and relaxing with very friendly locals.

We started our two island day getting the boat to Bryher. I loved this island with its Fudge, Succulents and a pub, right next to a campsite. My mind was working overtime, how do I get to camp on this island? The walk was rugged with no clear path, at one point we had a couple following us and we had no idea where we were going and if there was a path. It was a proper exploring adventure #isles...

The island had two castles which we were able to explore and an Abbey with beautiful gardens, these were explored by Jan my mum and her friend. We started our second day of exploring and walking around the Isles on a boat, it was a short 15 minutes trip to St Martins. Highlights for us was the beaches, seeing seals and of course a vineyard that also brewed beer, we tried a few in order to rehydrate. #islesofscilly #hikingadventures #cornishcoast

Travelling to the Isles of Scilly takes some planning, accommodation, travel, transport, cost, weather. A year after booking our accommodation 4 of us travelled to St Mary's the largest island in the Isles of Scilly. Jan and Sandra were going to take things easy and roam around the islands and sample great food and the island hospitality. Aj and I were off to walk around every island we could, ...

After spending time with our Camino Friends, we explored the cathedral, joined the pilgrim mass. Saying good bye to friends was so hard, but we had travel plans. We drove to Finisterra and walked up the hill to worlds end. (this is where the pilgrims thought the flat world ended) This is the last video of this series. Today was an in between day, joining up towns, to get to Santiago. I started the day walking with American Steve, a retired philosophy lecturer, we had a great chat, he was part of our Camino gang who came together in the evening's for meals and a drink. Hi Lisa, have completed the Wychwood Way (except for the Blenheim estate and Lidstone loop). Really enjoyed the whole walk other than the very poor signposting. Had to log into your videos a couple of times to help me navigate. Had a much needed drink in your recommended pub at North Leigh. You’re so lucky living near the Evenlode Valley. Thanks again for taking the trouble to film .
@LizSmith292 thank you x that is very kind. I agree the signposting was lacking in places . Some great pubs in our area.
Inspired by your Thames walks Lisa - I start it in a couple of weeks! (Source to Woolwich as I did Woolwich to Grain last year doing the ECP)...
@awtyworld2868 Let me know if you fancy a meet up .
@@lisakinahan6105 I'll send you my schedule!!
If I told you Exeter University geoengineering department had cloud machines spraying sea water ofshore over cornwall to make cornwall and devon grey and cold during the summer you would say I'm crazy. Exactly what's going on to shut down our summer every year, exceept for 1st lockdown when they couldn't get out to do their dirty work. Met Office cloud seed the southwest via planes so we get no summer. They are paid 4 million a year by the department of energy so we have to keep warm in the summer with their gas and electric. GEOENGINEERING will be ramped up because the lords and ladies want more of your cash to fund their lifestyles and keeps the brits heads below water with weather engineering.
You need to get a wind guard on your microphone and do a little more research into your walk. But all in all I enjoyed it, brings back memories of when I walked the coast path. Well done.
Yes it was all a bit rough and ready. This was 2018 so a few years ago now . My first long distance walk
Such a lovely filming guys! Love it 👏👏
Thank you that's very kind
Lovely to watch 😊 I am revisiting these isles in June and this made me look even more forward to the trip. Thank you 🤩
Have a great time, such a peaceful place. I can't wait to return
@@lisakinahan6105 Thank you! We will surely enjoy our stay. It will be my third visit 😍
How long does that take to walk Henley to Marlow down the river path
It is about 11 miles. My average speed is about 3 Mile's an hour so about 4 hours. It is a very pretty section
Hi Lisa, thanks for sharing your epic 6 part adventure. Am planning to do the Wychwood Way sometime so your videos are really useful especially in highlighting signposting issues and possible cattle fields; although I see you did the walk some time ago. Ordered the handbook you used and have to agree that it’s really interesting but not so good for navigation; in fact it’s one of the strangest walking guides I’ve seen. The diagrams seem to be upside down. Will definitely get the OS maps. Thanks again and keep walking !
Hope you enjoy the walk Liz. It is some beautiful countryside
I know this video was a while ago but I thought I would comment any way. All of the stone structures that you saw were the remains of lime kilns. Dawes Castle is just earthworks in the field that you walked through and is almost impossible to see.
Thank you x
@11:30 time, which way did you take going down to Roncesvalles?
The one to the right . The gradual decline rather than the steep. Which is recommended by the office at St Jean
Looking forward to more videos with the dog. He looks delightful x
Thank you he is cute. Slightly anxious in the car but we are getting there
Wow!! Just started watching your videos and I can’t believe all of that rain you encountered in August. I walked in 2022 and preparing for 2025. Great videos, thank you for sharing!!

Old video but that’s so cool actually! I think I’d be dizzy at the top because I hate heights although I’d still try it! ❤
The bridge give me anxiety when I drive over it. I thought walking it would help my driving fear
Amazing journey Lisa! So many memories! Well done! We didn’t walk together really but I definitely remember you. Candyman 😊

Thank-you so much for sharing your Camino journey. It was lovely to see the spirit of the Camino & to see the joy that it brought to you.
An emotional roller coaster. But I think that's the point. It's made me more aware of my feelings which I think after years of nursing I have skillfully hidden from myself
The Anchor does really nice grub, ate there and slept in the cricket pavilion when i walked it.

I leave in 2 weeks for my first Camino and your videos give me a feeling of peace and happiness, you have such a positive way of expressing your journey
@@LeslieFeltman how exciting . Enjoy your journey I'm slightly jealous. I plan to go back this summer. I'm hooked
Why did you leave so early?
That is a very good question . To avoid walking with lots of people. To avoid walking in very hot weather. But mostly because everyone did. In reflection, I would probably start later and in daylight if I was going again. It did mean we had more time to explore the town at the end of the walk and more time for beverages
We went last summer and I’m glad we walk in daylight cause I wanted to see everything lol, yeah it was hot so definitely trade offs . Going again in June #2 here we come
@@marthajoyrichardson7727 hope to go in September again. Definitely start later. Of cause the mornings were darker by September. I was starting at 730 to 800am so not that early.

Are you from Ireland? I can tell by your last name.
No but I'm married to an Irish man.
Not wanting to sound picky (sorry) what you focused on was Sudeley Hill Farm (pronounced Soodly), which is just to the east of Sudeley Castle itself. Lovely vid clip though - shared.

Yes . Not used to showing so much emotion
About to hit up this same trail! 😊
Check the Thames Path website for flooding. I'm based in Oxfordshire and it's very flooded unwalkable. I can't wait to get back on the path. I have a new dog and wondering the logistics of walking from the Barrier with him

Not too bad. Friend recommended listening to Bruce Springsteen. Not the best music for a long walk . Absolutely love the Spanish towns though
¿Qué tal esa casi interminable recta hasta Calzadilla de la Cueza? Tiempo de introspección
Me encanta todos ❤️
Any blisters or feet strain Lisa?
No blisters . I rubbed vaseline on my feet every morning. Wore bamboo socks. Asics trail shoes.
Hi Lisa, can I ask what time of the year did you start your Camino. Love the videos
