I’ve only seen it in b/w. It was 1982, purely a guess but it was likely recorded with camcorders - which were still relatively new then. Maybe they couldn’t afford color cameras - I have no idea 🤷🏾♂️? Think I still had a b/w TV in my bedroom in 1982 (SMH 🤦🏾♂️) cuz my mom said color cost too much for me to have, the world was still converting to color. But I have seen (and have) some b/w concert video from his Dirty Mind tour as well… maybe color cameras/film were too costly for some. 🕊️☮️
