Coco has tried everything in her matches with Iga and almost all of them ended with the same result: Iga's victory, apart from one lucky victory for Coco, where it was known that it was not Iga's best day, and yet Coco had to fight through three close sets. I think we will see a match similar to the one in Rome. Coco will want to play aggressively, and Iga will consistently, step by step, gain the advantage until she wins the entire match

Scheduling this match & Iga's so early with zero crowd attendance is appalling. Getting the women 'out of the way' so the men can do their thing-mentality isn't going to help the game.
Thing is, it wouldn't be fair to put the women on after the men's matches either, given how long they routinely go on. I doubt any of the woman want to go in the prime slot and risk playing at 2am...

For some reason Coco forgets to play aggressive which is why she gets beaten by players she should have easily beaten. If Coco played this aggressive vs Iga there is gonna be an upset.
Coco like any other top player does not forget how play aggressively, but some players just don't give you that opportunity and naturally her playing style is more defensive. She doesn't have the firepower of Rybakina or Sabalenka so just being "aggressive" won't do it, mixing it up more, playing a bit more risky then maybe.
@@mikiafuYou do have a point but all the players who have beaten Iga like Ostapenko, Rybakina etc always played aggressive. They didn't just hang around the baseline defending against Iga's shots. Coco's game VS Ons changed once Coco took the game to Ons without letting Ons dictate the pace.
@@trommelbiel They play a very different game, you can't change Coco or Iga into Rybakina or Ostapenko. It's not just about being aggressive, they take the ball earlier on the rise, hit flat and hard and cut of the angles ,which does not suit Iga yes, especially when the bounce is lower. I think mixing it up would be a good idea, but it's hard to be smart, for COCo to be really competitive on this surface and with her play I think just needs a bit more strength, which will happen.
And she did play agressive and lost 0-2. She was too agressive, brainless bashing from forehand, it was worst match for Iga in entire RG and Coco failed to win a set.

Her natural instinct is to slug it out. She's becoming more consistently aggressive though.
