      The word vegetales means vegetables literally and verduras means herbs and greens / green leafy vegetables aka vegetables / edible plants that are typically green - I grew up sort of like bilingual (having learned Spanish in childhood) and I am pretty sure I know at least 7.000 to 10.000 words in Spanish, which I think it’s considered native speaker level, and about 60.000 / 60k to 100.000 / 100k words in English and OId English and Scottish (in these 3 languages combined) and, I can also understand Portuguese and Catalan and Italian very well, while knowing words and learning more new words in some other languages as well...

      But the season related term spring should be edited out, because season / nature related terms can’t be misused in names / yt names etc.

      I was wondering tho, as a vegetarian / plant-based / vegan, would it be okay to use the word vegetal (or vegetariano / vegetariana etc) after jamon / tocino / salchicha etc, like, saying ‘jamon vegetal’ or ‘tocino vegetal’ or ‘salchicha vegetariana’ or ‘queso vegetal’ etc or are there new terms in Spanish that describe the vegetal / plant-based version of animaI-based products? Even though I know so many words in Spanish, I must admit that I don’t know too many cooking terms and names of tools / new items etc...

      I also wanted to point out that when referring to toppings on pizza etc (the ingredients that are put on top of the pizza that can be seen) the word on is used instead of in (pineapple on pizza, instead of pineapple in the pizza) and, the word in is mostly used to describe the ingredients that are in a dish / pizza etc that cannot really be seen on top, like, when one says ‘pizza that had verduras / herbs in it’ or ‘they put parsley and seeds in the pizza and spinach and fresh leek on top’ etc - in is usually used to describe ingredients that are put in the pizza dough or in the tomato sauce or in batters etc that aren’t really visible or are visible but are in the dough / sauce or in the batter of cakes or in other dishes that usually also have a type of sauce or mayo on top...

    Mi comida favorita es carne - específicamente carne de res como bistec (ribeye) y hamburguesas. Pero, también, me gusta fruta como aguacates y plátanos. Y a veces, me gusta comer el marisco como paella, camarones, y el pescado como trucha.

      The misused flower dpi must be changed - and the word grace is a big term / big compIiment that can’t be misused in names, so it must be edited out and changed to a simple name that isn’t and doesn’t contain any big / astral / gemstone / respectability / light / power related terms and special names and flower / food / fruit / plant / forest / nature related terms (or other purity terms) and love related terms and compIiments / seasons / colors and other unsuitable terms.

    The names of vegetables & such changes from one country to the next. For example:
    Green beans = vainicas (Costa Rica), frijoles verdes (Nicaragua)
    Plantains = plátanos (Costa Rica & Nicaragua), bananos (Mexico)
    Jelly = jalea (Costa Rica & Nicaragua), mermelada (Mexico)
    We’re moving to Mexico & having to learn new names for certain things.

    • @PaulisimaSpringSpanish
      @PaulisimaSpringSpanish 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@PaulisimaSpringSpanish In the big Chedraui (Mexico) supermarket near where we’ll be living, plátanos are called bananos. My husband & I have had some difficulty using the app to order groceries for delivery because they don’t use the same words for things that we use. It takes us longer to find what we’re looking for.

    This helps, but each Central American country we have lived in has its own vocabulary for food. It’s irritating when shopping online to have our groceries delivered, because we have to look up words… even though my husband was born & raised in Nicaragua.
