I create my zipper pocket with overlay just like you do. I have tried several methods and then I saw your "favorite zipper pocket tutorial" earlier this year so I tried it. I agree with you it is the best method I have found and I am sure it will continue to be my go-to way to create a zipper pocket. So appreciative of your videos and all the tips and tricks you give us to make our bag making experiences better. Thanks!!

I have an overnight traveler that’s smaller than this bag! Lol. Love the colors - it’s gorgeous! ❤

This bag is massive! It looks so good. I saw you cut it out so I don’t know why when I saw you putting the overlay on the pockets I thought it was the side seam and thought it was odd construction.😂 I get your sewing blurbs and now when I give bags away people look for the blurbs. Heaven forbid I forget! Great job, Lauren! Your mama will love it!
I use zipper overlays as they are easier and look more professional and it’s great for tucking in blurbs.😊
How are your shoulders, mine are achy for you.

Blue , 8 and a zipper overlay , the way you did it is my favorite.

My first big bag I made was the large festival bag by Swoon, I didn’t have clips so I used pins because I was using denim and cotton, my god I was scratched up from my ears to my fingertips because there was just so much bag to maneuver 😂 live and learn and thank the sewing gods for clips

Hi Lauren, I have a 10" diameter salad lunch container for work. I was thinking of making this with just the grammy dress clear vinyl you sell and no lining. Do you think this is the best size for this or the medium?

My first bag was a bag that wasn't intended to be, but I made as a diaper bag. It was fantastic so I made a second. I made them both on my little domestic brother innovis 40 and I still look back and think, how did I accomplish that?

Hahaha surprisingly she did feel it was too big. Which is hilarious because she carries a giant bag

Do you think adding a large center pocket/divider would work?

Although that bag is very pretty, its not a purse, it's a weekender.

Hi Lauren…. I have a industrial walking foot already. I know you have the Janome HD9. I was wondering if you would stick with that choice after having it for some time now. Or would you go with the JUKI 8700 or the JUKI 8000a ? Your advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I no longer have the hd9
      I just use my industrials

If your bag was deeper you could have used your machine table as a free arm. 😂😂
