I've been searching for awhile to find a good rendition of blackbird on the ukulele, but I haven't been able to find one that I liked until this video. I know it on the guitar, and I've always wanted to learn it on the ukulele. Great video, I would really appreciate if you did a tutorial for blackbird!
Hi, you don't have to remove the strings to replace the battery - in fact you just pull the battery slot with a finger. A very useful feature. The pickup controls inside the soundhole is also a very good idea so you don't have to cut holes in your precious instrument. A very similar system used in expensive american LR Baggs pickups. That said it looks like Enya is top-of-the-line chinese manufacturer. Really impressive package and looks, thanks for your review
phones are okay for tuning but what about when you're in a really loud environment - like a bar? The clip on tuners can be used in clip mode and so get over that problem.
I have been looking at the description on the banggood site. It is not made by total wood, but by layers of paper and then a thin one of koa "sticker", their idea it is to care about trees getting chopped down, so more enviroment friendly, however the sound it is a bit muffled. They give you so many optionals in order to be appealing, but that's not important I think, they should pay more attention on the make, even the neck it seems to be "strange" with a screwing key, and in the end, the tuner inside the hole to make things even more difficult ;-)
Davide Scozzi - the sound is not muffled due to the material (HPL) that the uke is made from - Martin make ukes using this stuff and charge £300 -400 for a soprano and they are loud and punchy. This is an extremely hard material used years ago for making kitchen tops etc. - like Formica and it can sound really good.
Two Questions, how are the stings mounted on the Bridge? With knots inside the body? Seems difficult to change strings on that. And the Second question how is the melody called you played at the end? Thanks in advance.
Please do not recommend or promote Banggood! I bought the Enya X1 after watching your review and they sent me one with 5 defective frets, rusty and worn down. They then refused to give a full refund or apply their policy of paying up to $40 for returns. Customer Service is not helpful at all and just trying to make any money off of you.
