  • In this part of the series I take a look at the chaos Sleep/Disable/Kill field which we can use to control large chaos destruction experiences and make sure the physics pipelines doesn't cause the frame rate to plummet.

Same here. There’s barely any beginner friendly tutorials this easy to follow and understand for Chaos Destruction currently that these are the only ones I really follow

Ah, was looking for how to make sure the pieces do not hyperjump me around when I collide with them. Wish the pieces were non-collision when stepped upon. Darn it, gotta check for more tutorials.

Do you know how to spawn a mesh+anchor at runtime? I can only get construction script to work.

Is there a way to delay the sleep until something is broken? I see there is Removal on Break in 5.1, but it doesn't seem fully implemented. I have an object in my scene that I want to be able to run up to and break, and only then would I want it to sleep or remove over time. This has me stumped, thanks!

Thanks for the great tutorial. I do have a question though. My geometry collection, will not emit any particles upon breaking. My blueprint code is exactly the same as yours. Thank you!

Ah... found the reason... didn't check the "notify breaks" box.. well, hope this info will help someone else! D:

Can these falling rocks damage the player? It looks like they aren’t colliding with the player. Is this because they are “sleeping” on the fracture event?

*Nobody ever had the idea of making a test map of Age of Empires II in Unreal 5. Have you thought about doing it? It would have millions of views since no one ever did. Try to make a single map, with a town center some houses, castles, barracks, and other types of characteristic buildings and units. It would be awesome.*

*The title of the video could be: "Realistic Age of Empires II in Unreal 5."*

Nah not really, people would just copy his tutorial swap the assets and sell the "game"...
