The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2021 US Open saw Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Great Britain's Emma Raducanu claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first major title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. The 2022 US Open main draw is scheduled to go ahead between August 30 - September 11.

Its crazy to think that Iga won her first slam less than a year ago, she has already become a established top 10 player and made it to second week of all slams in 2021. Tennis is truely blessed to have a talent like her.

I can't give much credibility to a commentator who doesn't know how to pronounce the players' names. I mean Belinda Bencic has been on the WTA tour for at least 10 years. All the pros have a recording of their names on the WTA website. Please do your due diligence!
Exactly, she keeps calling her Benchick even after her fellow commentator and umpire pronounce in correctly many times.. Svaitek? No comment.
And Bencic shortly to be outclassed by the divine Raducanu
Bencić played much worse with Raducanu, if she could play as well as against Swiatek, who knows, who would be better.

Congratulations👏🏻your comment aged like fine wine, over a year and a half later Swiatek is a dominant number 1 winning two slams per year +masters events while Raducanu has become irrelevant since then.
Not even 30 seconds in and the commentator has mispronounced both of their names...
Much rather have seen Iga vs Raducanu match since Iga trounced Emma 61 60 at jr Wimbledon couple of years back.
Hard court is not Iga's thing. Emma has grown her game so much in the meantime. So, yes, it would be interesting.

Not saying it would not have been a great match, but that was over 3 years ago, Iga was 17 whilst Emma was only 15 at the time.

Both of them seemed to only have one gear or one way of playing, whereas Emma seemed to be able to adjust and adapt with different opponents and situations.
Emma is a quick learner, picking up something each game.

Bencic is just inconsistent. Always was and will be. She was great the open though Emma was just a class above the rest.
All that doubles with BMS didn't seem to help. So awkward at net still for Iga...
Iga still has the shots, but she doesn't look Slam-ready. She's having trouble reading the court, and her movement is shockingly slow. Maybe she took too much time off, instead of playing the pre-Slam tournaments.
