Thanks Steven! Yes, it's a great book. The mausoleum build is a breeze, with a hot wire cutter it would be well under a couple of hours of work. That's what I meant when I mentioned the layout of the projects, it's very efficient.
Yes, that's literally the only thing that stops it from being the perfect starting point for an absolute beginner. Other than that, it's great for helping people from any level to quite a good one.
@@Zogatn I'm guessing 700 is very dense so it would be a lot harder to work with. 500 feels good, but I have not used any other type so I can't really compare it to anything.
If you're based in the EU, you can find it in their online shop at shop.shiftinglands.com/books/138-341-the-book-buildings-tabletop-terrain-from-xps-foam.html#/158-language-english Can't see it on their US shop, but if you drop them an email they should be able to direct you.
Excellent review. Thanks very much.
Thank you, hope it was useful!
Lollll! Your special reading room. I would totally buy this book to decorate my shelves by the way. After reading it cover to cover.
Haha :) I get ya, this is going to be referenced too much to sit in a shelf for very long though 🙂

Nice review Karl. I need to get my hands on this book!
Thanks Derek! Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice & informative, seems like a great book. Impressive work on the Mausoleum

That book looks extremely well done. I do agree, though, that some tutorials without a Proxxon or similar would have been better.

Thanks for this video Karl! I was wondering if I wanted the book or not, and you helped me spend some money! (Like I need help for that).
Haha, thank you TMM! Glad it was useful :)
Nice review. It is annoying that so many tutorials require a proxon.
Yep, then again a proxxon isn't a bad idea if you do a lot of foam work, even if it's just to make chore-level stuff faster.
What XPS use for buildings? XPS 300 or XPS 500 or XPS 700?
XPS that I can find XD It's 500, but I had to look it up. Not that I have much variety to choose from here.
@@Karlmakesstuff OK, because i find XPS 700 for "building beehives" and I don't know did this XPS 700 is too hard.

where can I buy a copy?

😂 Reviewing it in your office... 😜
That is no mere office, Collin. It is the sacred room of reading. Much literature has been perused betwixt it's hallowed walls.
