The first tackle was actually a tip tackle and he should have been facing a suspension. His legs went well above his shoulders. Second tackle was a good hard tackle.
Not really because the tacklers feet weren’t planted, once the tacklers feet left the ground he had no control of the outcome. It was a legal hit, just unfortunate the young fella was a bit small. In New Zealand we have weight classes for kids to minimise this.
1st hit is a ban of playing sport , that hit is nefarious and cruel , he tried to kill that kid , could smash him with out all the daddy issues , also was late.
@@mvubu6823 textbook my arse. You wouldn’t be saying that if that was your kid he carved in two. And there’s no way that kid was fine after that tackle.
@@kesterbrits4473it may well have been legal, but that doesn’t make it right. Rugby is a game for all sizes. At lower grades, if you’re the biggest guy of the pitch and hit the smallest guy like that, its malicious and dangerous and hopefully he was taken aside and reminded that restraint is far more valuable than aggression
That first hit is why youth age groups have (or should have) rules around player weight/height. Bigger lads play a year above and smaller lads play a year down
Can not belief this is what passes in peoples minds and good rugby. To hurt someone smaller than you like this an call yourselve a top player is disgrace to human
Shocking man the ball is out the hands ages ago then the tackle is made , art to tackling not just tackle as hard as you can with no purpose other than to hurt
Cause he is big, strong AND has a ruthless mentality. They’ll believe they can refine that a bit and develop a career hardman. Every successful team needs one. Puts some genuine fear into the opposition. Btw if you can legally break someone’s ribs in a tackle, like completely legal, no doubt involved, then that should be encouraged. This is a full contact gladiatorial sport. That is how it was designed. Disappointing to highlight tackles like the first one. That’s a great way to leave a young person paralyzed. It’s a tackle that’s premeditated and The tackler remains out of play. It’s just N egotistical move. Especially due to the fact of the lot smaller stature
This shouldn’t be celebrated, the tackler knows he’ll be beaten by the pass but still slams into the fly-half with the single intention of doing harm. In village rugby that tackler would’ve been “sorted” by the fly-half’s forwards later in the game and sent home in an ambulance and so five years would never have come up.
The first tackle was slightly high and late. It could damage someone to the point of breaking their neck. The tackler is a bully in it for the violence.
I didn't play contact sports much as a teenager, cos I was a tank at 13.. This kid is bigger and stronger than I was probably.. total mismatch for those who haven't hit pubity
That kid that did first one wouldn't play ever again. Could've kid other lad. When they get older let them knock shit out of each other, not worth dying as a teenager
This is what happened when American football players play rugby and think the tackling is the same. You literally might get someone killed in rugby if you spear someone like you’re wearing 50lbs of bubble wrap and a helmet
Even if the tackle was legal and I'm not saying it wasn't but putting a massive blindside hit on someone that has already passed the ball, is not really something to write home about.
It was obvious he was gna pass it, yeah was legal, but come on could’ve really hurt him, why? Cos you wanted smash a kid half your size, he could’ve pulled out of it
Interesting the comments on the first tackle. This is a contact sport. Part of the game is to intimidate your opponent. The hit was hard but perfectly legal.
That kid could have died from that shot. Disrespectful play. No one wants to see that in school rugby. You could argue that it was a legal tackle, but it sure as hell wasn't a necessary one.
I can’t believe the complaints on here about the first tackle. Was not high or late. Tackler was committed. I’m sure it hurt the poor kid but he won’t delay the pass next time. For those saying he’s small and it’s not in the spirit of the game I would say based on his passing technique he’s far from a first time player. He should know he’s put himself in that position. If the small fast guy side steps or runs around a big forward should he slow down because it’s not fair that he is faster? Of course not. It’s all part of the game.
First tackle was late. Hope the kid was OK. His neck took a beating.

Rugby remember same thing happens everywhere the game is played y get tackled if u have ball in hand
@kagontshabele3006 Man, are you dumb? He almost killed him😡
agree there bro. Me personally would've brought an axe to the game for that sort of carry on.
He already passed the ball. Nothing special here.
First tackle is just an oversized opponent targeting a smaller player with zero discipline. I wouldnt be playing these videos thinking youre the man.

Also a very late tackle. A definite red card tackle today, probably followed by a long suspension
1st tackle is a sending off, he's late on arrival. The ball already left his hands.
