I think he played around 8 or nine games that season and I don’t recall him playing those games badly but perhaps not to the same level of as form as he did for the Springbok an ultimately he left by mutual consent with the club . I’m guessing Bakkies was expressing perhaps what other ex Toulon players were thinking, players leaving like that are bound to arose comment rightly or wrongly.
