I used to play a hunter in vanilla and did not know that you could DRAG the spells onto your action bar. So I played with my spellbook opened. Until level 21...

Being honest, that would be a fun feature. Clicking on the head increases your crit chance by 2% or something, but the game never tells you that. xD

Yeah, I didn't try to go for the headshot, but I have to admit that when I first started playing back in vanilla, I too used to mash my mouse button several times on the mob, because I thought that each time I did my character would attack it, I had no concept of ''auto attack''.

One of my fondest memories was playing on my first character ever, a Night Elf Hunter questing in the Teldrassil to get to 10. I remember watching my step brother playing on his Human character in the Elwynn Forest killing the starting zone wolves. Prior to this I had heard Hunters could tame any animal they wanted for a pet, so when I saw these wolves I had to have one. Purely for the look and no other reason. I then got on my toon, traveled to Darnassus and asked in the G chat how do I get to the human starting area from Darnassus. Someone kindly responded telling me I had to take the boat from Darkshore to Menethil Harbor and then walk the journey to Ironforge and then take the tram to Stormwind.
I died so many damn times to the crocolisks in the Wetlands and got so frustrated because I didn't understand that they were a solid 15 levels higher than me. Eventually I got a level 60 to kindly come escort me by foot through the wetlands. Then I made the long journey to Dun Morogh (still dying alot on the way) to when I got to Ironforge. I remembered someone saying something about a train to Stormwind. And looked for it for about 15 minutes before I gave up; And rather than asking for directions in the chat about where the tram was, I took it upon myself to just walk the rest of the way to Stormwind from Ironforge.
Little did I know all of the horrors that awaited to one shot me in the Badlands, so once I figured out I wasn't going to make the Journey, I went back to get help. Someone showed me the tram, I made it to Stormwind and tamed the wolf I came for. I hearthed back home to the Teldrassil and my wolf caught everyone's attention and I would get DM's asking me "where did u get that pet??" I was so proud of my wolf, then when I moved on to Darkshore to quest there, one day I forgot to feed my wolf consistently and she ran away. I was so upset but it's memories like these that keep me looking fondly back on the game.
Great stories from everyone. Cheers to the Classic servers.

My first ever character was a human warrior, because I wanted a character like the barbarian from Diablo 2. I remember staying in Northshire Abbey until past level 10, just grinding mobs until I didn't get any more xp from killing them. I also leveled up every single one of my weapon skills INCLUDING UNARMED to the max because I thought it'd be important, I was determined to be the most hardcore player on WoW. Then when I left the Abbey and started questing around Elwyin Forest, I kept dying A LOT, over and over and I hated the warrior. I thought my weapon skills and shield would make me stronger but I was so weak, I hated it.
I also didn't know there was an AH and I thought the ONLY gear you could get was through the vendors. Didn't know you could inspect other players and check out their gear as well. So as I leveled my warrior, the only gear I had was vendor whites. When I completed an entire vendor set along with the vendor weapon, I thought my character was BOSS. Even though I almost died 1v1 on every mob and had to eat after every fight, I thought this was normal for the game.
But eventually I gave up on my warrior because he was too weak and died all the time, so I rolled a paladin. Holy cow that was a game changer for me because paladins could heal themselves and I didn't die anymore! So I rolled a paladin just happily auto swinging in my vendor gear.
I also didn't know anything about TALENT TREES, I didn't know there were multiple talent trees and I would just put points into the first tree I saw. For paladins that was Holy, and I put all my points into Holy autoswinging with a 2H until around lvl 30. One day somebody asked me "What spec are you?" and I answered "I'm a paladin" and they said "Yeah but what spec are you? Holy, Prot, or Ret?" and I though they were just ROLEPLAYING HAHA so I said "I'm a Paladin of truth and justice!" HAHAHAHA

When I was leveling my undead warlock at lvl 8 I saw a tauren hunter using a "shotgun" which blew me away, so I immediately asked him by /say (had no idea about /w) how to get a shotgun, he told me from Thunder bluff. With determination, I looked up where is this Thunder Bluff and I found it, but it said I had to get a zipplin to Orgrimmar...WTF is a zipplin and WTH is Orgrimmar? So looked up the zipplin's location, got on it, I remember staying in the middle afraid of falling off. When I reached Durotar I was blown away by the orange looking ground (was very different from undead dark zone) and the background music played, MY GOD it sent chills down my spine. So I opened my map trying to see where am I...on the right continent, thats some progress but it still was very far. I made my decision said "the hell with it" and traveled on my little feet. Crossed Durotar with ease, crossing the river, killed by countless raptors, I was traveling south through the barrens, I finally made it to middle of the barrens when I had my biggest challenge, those electric dinosaurs (Kodos) they aggro from miles away and 1 shot me with their lightning shooting horns! God damn I died like 100 times till I got to mulgore. The green grass, the music, the view of the mountains, my god...my determination renewed. Walked my way to Thunder Bluff, getting on the elevator going up while Im looking back at Mulgore, with TB music playing (blizzard and their damn good music) was magical. I spent 30 minutes looking for this "shotgun" guy to teach me how to use it, until some kind tauren showed him to me and to my SHOCK...I learned the hard way that warlocks can't shot shotguns :'(
Btw you had to learn how to use different weapons from each city back then .

My most most embarrassing moment was when I started playing I was a human warlock questing on the farms at the bottom of the map and Horde went past me coming from duskwood. Not long after I got close to the river and saw some mobs, normal stuff. I clicked on them, saw a skull on the healthbar and my 1st though as that must mean that duskwood is a horde zone. I wasted so much time and leveling progress avoiding that zone. Only after was forced to go to stv that I found out that it was not a horde zone. Also I didnt know about thottbot or any website at the time maybe because it was a couple months after the game launch and I was 12.

In the first month of playing I just ran around the world looking for places and people from Warcraft lore. I stumbled my way into the Blasted Lands at about lvl 20 because I wanted to find the Dark Portal and I died about every minute, but god damn it I wanted to see the Dark Portal.

Hehehe!!! I also had a similar experience on my N.E. I was just wondering around "ooo-ing" and "awe-ing" at all the cool scenery.... Next thing I'm being chased down by a lvl XXXX skull mob and getting one hit killed!!!!! Luckily, I had increased speed when dead in whisp form ;) cuz I kept running back to my body and dying.... After dying over and over and over again for hourssss and only making it a couple inches across my screen, a kind higher level player noticed me and said "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOY DOING OUT HERE AS A LVL 5?!"
      I said ".... I'm lost :( "
And the dude was kind enough to escort me allllllll the way back to my starting zone

Hunter was my first class also. Took a little to learn but 1 of the best solo leveling classes. I did not realize there was more spells at first for the pets or new pets could get you newer training. This was my first mom also in a time that seems like an eternity ago. Oh and I named my first cat Shadowfang cause it was dark and never knew about Shadowfang Keep at the time lol. DON'T forget to feed your pets also....Thoronaur.

My biggest memory was trying to get to Ironforge. I was a human paladin and my guild was meeting up in Ironforge for something. Now, I was in Redridge at the time, so I check the map. And I see that I can go through a few zones to get there! So I set off, into the two high level zones that border Redridge to the north.
Took me twenty attempts to get to Lothar's statue until my guild noticed where I was and pointed out there was a tram in Stormwind...

Haha, I gave up on a gnome mage. Literally couldn't figure out how to get out of the the two starting zones. Think I eventually googled how to get from Ironforge to Stormwind and found out there was.tram, but by that time I had started another character so the poor mage eventually got deleted. Never had a chance.

    • @Biouke

You're lucky, I had the same "come over to IF" when I started, but was a night elf. Trying to get through Ashenvale, then the Barrens, to take the boat in Ratchet when I wasn't even level 20, then up through Stranglethorn to get back to Stormwind, then the tram... I'll remember that epic quest for a long time, if only because I got stuck a whole evening between Ashenvale and the Barrens with both factions raiding each other back and forth, causing multiple server crashes XD
The PvP raging on was also why I barely made it to Ratchet and and didn't try to go all the way through the Barrens and Dustwallow Marsh to take the Theramore-Menethil Harbor boat... then regretted it greatly while being repeatedly ganked in Stranglethorn despite my lvl40 friend trying to escort me :p

OMG! Yes the dreaded runs through hostile territories at low level. The game hint that tells to to stick to roads was a must back then. I soon made a rogue character because of it.

  • @allenhamilton6688

I remember when someone in a dungeon told me about "spell rotation" and a light dawned. I read every spell I had, what it did and proc'd. I realized the purpose of intellect, strength and agility being labeled on gear. I set up my action bars, started getting addons and eventually became a raid healer and guild master. It was fun back then. My background is that I didn't start playing wow until I retired from LE. I had been in the military and became a cop afterwards. I'd taken leaves of absence to fight in a couple of wars as a contractor. I had married and divorced three times. I'd always loved science fiction and fantasy but through all my travels I'd never been able to scratch that itch. I met my fourth wife through WoW and we are still going strong all these years later, even though we no longer play the game.

I still remember my first day in WOW back in 2005. A fresh paladin, just exited the Abbey area with the quest to talk to someone in Goldshire, and desperately asking people for directions to Goldshire...in the middle of Goldshire! Also my very first contact with a murloc: "OMG what a cute little creaturaaaargh!" Also, desperately trying to whisper to that awesome looking blue player (a voidwalker) he never answered. How rude arrogant bugger!
I actually ran from Stormwind to Irongorge..through the tram tunnel while the tram was whizzing past me at high speed. Are they mad? Cant they see me? Someone could get killed!
Akso, i was carrying a bunch if mallets in ny inventory, no idea you could repair stuff so i just discarded the ones that broke.

I remember hearing the concept of aggro for the first time when I was new to WoW. It was explained to me as how threatening you were to an enemy or your ability to hold their attention. This resulted in me smack-talking various mobs like an idiot since I was trying to 'aggro' them as much as possible even though they don't respond to what players type in. Good times.

You're right...it was magical! Although it wasn't my first mmo, there's just something so unique and cool about your first steps into such a massive world. I firmly believe that's why a lot of us look back to vanilla so fondly. Maybe it wasn't just the state of the game, but just that first experience of jumping into the unknown left a big impression on a lot of us. It was...well, magical =)

WoW was my first MMO. I was into FPS like Halo etc..I was one of those people who laughed at people who played WoW. I stood firm until BC and....I caved. I didn't care about stats, I just wanted to look cool was one of my first noob experiences. Wielding an agility staff as a holy priest.....lol oh the days. Learning how to play, I think, was half the fun.

I remember I was well into stranglethorn vale using agility sword on my mage because it looked amazing. Used to buy those white items from vendors and equip them over stat gear. I never hit 60. Until probably 5 months into BC. Ah I miss the good old times.

I remember in vanilla I was a gnome mage and I saw a lvl 60 human mage in the pvp area of Ironforge. I kneeled before him and stood with a firm salute! Then I saw "Deserter" I had no idea what that meant but it said something about him Deserting his allies I believe. I then /spit on him and walked away smugly. What a chump.

Thotbot my friend those were the days!

    • @zchesus
      @zchesus 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Amen. Those were really the days. Horde Undead High Warlord Warrior here. (~400K honorable kills, ~600K spread around all alts and twinks) and basically all raids you can name (First as main tank, then as offtank and finally as Fury dps/reserve tank for specific bosses) concluding with WOTLK (quit shortly before Cata).
I've been trying to find some screenshots without much success from those times. When I hit rank 14 pvp (High Warlord on Horde side), I borrowed some money from the guild and bought all Rank 14 weapons (some duplicate, for diff enchantments :P), but I deranked and couldn't use them (luckily I saved em for patch 1.6).
99.99% of Warriors were playing Arms spec and sucking, or they were dedicated prot warriors, I was among the first to figure out power of Fury spec. (it was so OP, I would usually 2 shot most clothies even decked in best gear available).
Never lost AV after I got rank 14 weapons, if I was getting focused, I'd swap couple pieces of gear to tank gear for more armor/hp and with couple healers (and priest cleansing me) I would almost single handedly (backed up by healers ofc as I said) push whole alliance raid up and demolish everyone, it was so overpowered, yet so enjoyable :P
Alliance had a thread dedicated to defeating me in battlegrounds on our server forums (later our battlegroup), with strategies and whatnot, also they maintained active list of people who often healed me so they would be focused in bg's, was really funny.
I often remember doing 2 stack Wailing Caverns with a friend who rolled priest at like lvl 12ish + just for the challenge, took us like hours at that lvl to duo, but we did it and farmed it for don't remember what loot we were after_ non stop in a 36 hours gaming session...
I started in closed beta. Didn't get in ofc, but I was heavy into Lineage 2 and had the only Demon Staff (most powerfull magic weapon) in whole game. (plans were not yet in the game so no one could craft it but it dropped from a 3-4 week spawn world boss, something like 0.00002% chance or similar, my guild got it, and after our mage quit, I ended rolling a class that provided guild wide buffs which were needed for sieges (in L2 you hold a castle - if you conquer it either from NPC's or from guild that conquered it first from NPC's or from another guild). After a while due to some drama guild disbanded and I was left with most powerful weapon in game (texture wasnt even done, it looked like first staff in game you buy as magic user when u chose your class). So I traded the staff and all my ingame cash for WoW closed beta account. and the journey started...
After release I played pretty much non stop with over half a mil honorable kills and all raid bosses downed - quit towards the end of wotlk)

Oh my... what a Nostalgia. My Story with WoW Started in june 2006, I was 12... and love WC3. My father traveled to the US and asked what I wanted from there... I looked up in the internet anything related to WoW and saw the game called "World of Warcraft"... I didnt even know it had a monthly fee, and for someone from Brazil at that time, it was not that cheap. So my father bought the game and I asked him to pay at least 1 month for me. He did, and in the next month I iasked for another, and another and another... and so on. My first Character was a Druid Night elf. I got to lvl 2, and I died... I couldn't make it back to my body, so I logged out and deleted my character and made a NE Hunter because I saw a guy with a pet. I remember leveling up to level 13, and asking in the general chat how to get to the "human continent" (Eastern Kingdoms). A lvl 42 hunter invited me, and with Aspect of the pack he walked me all the way from Dolanaar to Darnassus, Darkshore, taking the boat to Menethil, and walking from Wetlands to Dun morogh, taking the tram to SW and finally reaching Westfall, were I started questing... I remembere thinking to myself "Wow... what a Huge game". The hunter later on invited me to his guild and I was amazed by his gear and mount. He had an Awesome Frost Saber, and used the Herod (from the Scarlet dungeons) Shoulder and Helm (And they were mail and I could only use leather at the time!). I wanted to be just like him. Later on, while in a Group clearing the Deadmines, I remember I was playing with a rogue in the group... a human rogue. And man... I was pissed because he as a human could be Stealthed while moving, and I was a Night Elf could only Shadowmeld while standing still!!! So I logged out of my Hunter and made a Night Elf Rogue. Man... there is so much more... I loved this series... Thanks!

i first started playing the game in late vanilla, when i was 9. My dad got me into it, and helped me create a hunter, which he said would be easier for me. Well...he didn't tell me about taming or feeding or any of the other tosh you have to do for pets. the very first quest i did, i was ok. the second quest i did, i died, since i had no pet. And in all my 9 year old girl glory i then proceeded to cry my heart out for about an hour, convinced that i had actually killed my character. like, no, REALLY killed him. I would never be able to play him again, because i had just murdered him. lol. It took my poor dad ages to calm me down and even longer to convince me to play again, and that my character would keep coming back to life, good as new, no matter how many times i killed him. lol. ahhh, the memories.

When I was like a lvl 5 dwarf hunter in dun morogh I saw a lvl "??" orc rogue and I hid behind a tree for like 30min afraid to get spotten, it was my very first encounter with the enemy faction and I got really scared and my survival instincts kicked in, I patiently waited til he left the ice lake that I was watching.

I remember I wanted a attacking pet like a hunter. Didn't know that only hunters could have attacking pets and so I saved up my silver and bought the actual pet tabby cat from vendor lady in Elwyn Forest. Thought it would grow bigger into a full grown attacking cat like hunters had if I leveled it. Boy did I get laughed at when I showed the next hunter what I thought was a attacking pet or soon to be an attacking pet.

to be fair back then the quests gave you gear way below your level and any green drops were usually a few levels lower than you. I think up to level 10 or more buying greys was actually a decent idea as the mobs were much tougher and the armor actually came in handy lol

    • @jimmym3352
      @jimmym3352 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@alexgulino335 I would buy white items a lot from vendors with my druid. I thought it was like a regular rpg where you buy things from NPC's with your gold. While white items often did have higher stats than my greens, they didn't have things like + strength or agility (I primarily used cat form).

    • @Labroidas
      @Labroidas 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

To be honest for warriors it absolutely makes sense to buy vendor gear if you are below level 10 if you can afford it (it's super expensive), because that stuff is the only thing keeping you alive, and it makes those first ten levels less painful. For every other class it's a waste of money of course :P Except maybe early guns for hunters and daggers for rogues.

Leveling as holy, with damage in mind, in a tank look. Sounds like my first time. I first leveled an Undead Warrior and didn't know of the types of gear so I equipped everything. Cloth, Leather, Mail and Plate. Think I got that took up to 56-58 till I finally learned that I need Plate and a certain type of plate gear for that class and to do damage. And trying to tank as a warrior with a polearm got me kicked REAL fast

I remember believing that red quests would be hard no matter what (like, not related to level, but difficulty) so I kept on smashing for ages on the matriarch panthers back in south Darkshore, rather than grinding some mobs to get some level up. To the point of elaborating strats on when to drink a potion, how to snare, account for "missed's" etc... For a moment after that I really hated Darkshore and any thoughts of coming back there. That feeling being in Deadmines for the first time during the beta and having problem with the first boss, Rhahk'Zor, due to aggro. At the time I had no idea what threat was and our entire party's jerk reaction was to dps as hard as we could before we died and just making the problem worse. After finally defeating him we asked around and got told we needed a tank, we had no idea what that meant but we realized we had no business going further into the instance. A magical time when we just didn't understand the game and had to discover everything on our own, i'll miss that feeling for sure when classic launches

My first time in WoW (2005):
    (Long story!)
    *How WoW came to me*
I was never, nor am I today, a PC gamer or a true gamer in general. But, after being hard-pressed by one of my best friends who is, I decided to give WoW a try. He gave me this 10-day-free-trial that he got with his purchase of the game so I could try it out. For whatever reason it did not work and I nearly gave up on WoW altogether. For some reason, I was fascinated enough in the game to say fuck it and buy my own copy (or let my parents buy it for me lol). I guess the cinematic of the game really pulled me over the edge.
    *Faction*
After many discs being shoved in and out of my PC, I finally got to the character creation screen! But what to make..? What are the choices? I had never played an MMORPG, and was not familair with this universe at all, except for the fact it kind of looked like LotR(?) My attention was immediatly drawn to two races, who until this day are still my favorites: Night Elves and Tauren.
Night Elves because I love aesthetics, and the serenity and gloomyness and even angelic quality they had, really drew me towards them. But, I noticed that there were factions.. and at the time, being a very rebellious 15 year old boy, the Horde appealed to me a lot more as a group.. and it also helped my favorite colour was red, lol!
    *Race*
I looked through the races... Orc, hmm yeah, quite funny, kind of hulk-like? Lets look further.. Tauren! Holy cow (lol) these things look gigantic. Reminded me of Beast of Beauty and the Beast. But, maybe a bit too big and beastly for my liking. Undead? Hmm, gothics basically? lol, not my thing. Trolls... in hindsight should've given them more credit but I didnt know they had an AWESOME JAMAICAN ACCENT. I did like the colours of their hair, make up and bodies, but too ugly as well.. lanky and.. nah.
So I picked Orc. The most balanced race it seemed to me.
    *Class*
But wow (no pun intended), now I have to pick a Class.. Gender was easy, male. Although in my whole WoW career I've had a disproportionate amount of female characters, for both factions, but back then it didnt even cross my mind to make a female. So I was left with class.
Warrior? Luckily I had the wherewithall to read the descriptions on the right-hand side, as that was the only place of guidance and reason in this already overwhelming world lol, and I hadnt even logged in yet. Warriors are brutal and aggressive, yeah obviously, but not my thing entirely. Need some form of sophistication..
Shaman? Hmm, quite intriguing, but not aggressive enough..
Rogue? Hmm, too sneaky. No honor.
Hunter? Hmph. Actually going purely on the name of the class, I thought it would serve me well in a hostile and unknown world.
Hunter it is! Naming him Djador, the combination of my own name and my fathers name. Good. Enter world...
    *First encounter*
Wooow, nice intro to the race, very immersive. And dangg look at all these people! I had never played ANY, ANY online game before so seeing so many people around me literally blew my mind. The controls were very awkward for me. I was used to playing N64, Zelda OOT, or even GTA on my XBOX360 with controllers.. now Im using my keyboard???????? Lol. Just moving around was quite a task already. Oh right, quests.. thank you beginner-tool-tip-pop-up-window-thing.. I would be lost without you. Hmm, I see, I see, kill boars. Of course. Let's get HUNTING ;) Ok how do I.... hmm, yeah, I press 1 to shoot. Ok cool, AH I SHOT HIM, THERE HE COMES. Ok now to grab my axe somehow and slice him to death. Oh yeah he damages me too, but wait: HOW DO I BLOCK?! HOW DO I DODGE.. DAMN IT. After looking through all of the Escape Menu Options I figured out you could not block or dodge... what the hell. This game sucks. And the graphics are only a tiny bit better than my Nintendo 64 lmao. What kind of game is this?
    *Immersion, FAILURE, hooked*
Ok, just relax, breathe, it does look quite beautiful actually. Nostalgic almost to my actual Nintendo some how. A big wide world like Zelda Ocarina of Time (little did I know how absolutely huge the world was) and yeah I can stand to get used to this.. After what seemed like hours or even multiple days of killing NPCs with my Axe, since I had no idea Hunter was best at range, I finally got out of The Valley of Trials.. and what a trial it was! Phew. Oh wow, ECHO ISLES! I LOVE ISLANDS. Like Zelda the Wind Waker! Im a big boy now, I can leave this noob area, haha good bye noobs! Im off to bigger and better things. OH, MY, GOD, these drums! WHAT ARE THESE DRUMS?! ITS THE TROLLS! HOLY COW, THIS VOODOO VILLAGE. I LOVE IT! Hmm ya man, seen, seen, kill dem trolls on dem island an ting? Will do!... Or at least so I thought.. Trolls hurt.. A LOT LOL. I died innumerable times. Until fate brought me terrible, destructive news... what's this? Oh NO! My axe! It broke! My trusty friend, my foe-slayer, ITS BROKEN! Vendors, vendors, I need a new axe! Dang, I have literally no money at all.. Oh no... No money, No axe, and murderous Trolls everywhere whom I've been tasked to slaughter, yet I failed WITH my axe, let alone without it.. I'm broken, useless, a failure, a disgrace to my family. I must start over. I am not ready. I logged out.. deleted character.. and started a new Hunter. Only this time, the biggest of them all: a Tauren! And after hours of thinking of a name; I dub thee.. Blackbone! Get ready world (of warcraft) Im coming! Enter world..
    (to be continued)

What a trip down memory lane! I love these videos so much just thinking about my own start with the game when everything was new . WOW was my first MMO ever and i remember what it felt like to go to Ironforge and see people in high end gear looking awesome or being impressed by the epic mounts. So many memories from that period.

You step at my point(s) every single second of this video(s). I long for those past days, they will never come again... So much beautiful memorable (gaming) memories. Your first city was Ironforge, mine was Stormwind. I’ll NEVER forget those first few days in WOW.

haha! My first char was NE Drood I wasn't aware back in those days that there were a map and a minimap and got lost at level 4 or so to a level 10 area and 1 or 2 days after I gave up my brother explained to me what was going on, I was tired of my Drood and ended up with a gnome rogue XD that I never maxed out (4x something) until bc because we were splitting the account and I was the little one so I couldn't play really much.

hahhaha omg I ran a dwarf paladin as well, I thought it was epic as well when I saw ironforge, and especially, mounts and pets. I thought when people had their pets out they would fight for you

I loved your honesty in this video. I first tried tanking in Ragefire Chasm and I was awful at it. The other players were unbelievably venomous towards me. in return, I gathered as many mobs as I could, ran back towards the group and left the instance. Because of that experience I refuse to try tanking again.

This reminds me of my first trip to Teldrassil. I saw this gap in the tree that would let you peer over the edge. I thought: "Wouldn't it be cool to jump down off of this? I'll be making the highest dive into the water in all of Azeroth." So I jumped and about halfway down I hit a branch and died. Then I tried running my ghost back to my body and jumping down to the branch. I missed the branch and fell all the way to the water. I wasn't sure how to get back to the spirit healer in the grave yard so I ran across the water all the way around Teldrassil back to the boat, then took the boat back to the wetlands because I knew how to find that grave yard since I had died in the wetlands many times. It took me about a half an hour to get my body back and it's still one of my favorite wow memories.

This was so much fun to watch. I had similar goofs when I first played on my big brother’s account. My first character was a night elf hunter named sneakyelf because I read that night elves could shadowmeld. Then when I was in Darkshore, I saw a guy walking around in shadowmeld form! I asked him how he was doing that and he said only rogues could do it. I was bummed out because I didn’t want to delete my guy just to make another Night Elf Rogue named Sneakyelf. So I made what became my main. A gnome mage.

Dude, in Wrath, I mained a Blood dps DK (back then Frost was used for tanking for some unknown reason). I remember I somehow managed to get into a TOC pug and a tank chest piece dropped. Except I, being a total noob and not knowing what gear stats meant for a spec (dodge and parry are for tanks, etc), l won the roll on that chest piece from a tank who desperately needed it. When he found out I was a dps, he demanded to know why I rolled over that chestpiece. I just said, "Well, I looted it because it has more stamina man." Oh boy!! That tank guy lost his shit. He called me fucking idiot and told that it was a stupid reason to loot it because it had tank stats. I them asked the guy, "Dude what are tank stats?" After that, the Triggered warrior tank called me a fucking noob and left. I later found out months later about secondary stats and Gearscore and felt really sorry for him xD. He said he needed that chest piece to have enough Gearscore to enter into normal ICC. Good noob times.

    • @sarthari0n49
      @sarthari0n49 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Dragonslayer yeah, instead they should have refined all 3 specs to be able to tank and dps ( like they originally intended).
That way the class could still, in my opinion, feel "heroic"

Man this was a travel down memory lane! Back in vanilla, I didn’t realise that I had talentpoints to spend until lvl 40+, thats when a guy in my zul’farrak grp askes why I didn’t have a spec, and I was like ”spec? I am a druid, I cast Wrath and Melee hit in catform”. Thanks for this awsome laugh!

A mage without spells! That gave me a good laugh. My biggest stupidity was selling unwanted greens to vendors.
    Memorable moments:-
    1. Seeing my first capital - Stormwind - and promptly getting lost in it.
    2. The terror of leaving the starter zone and heading down the road to Goldshire thinking 'I'm gonna die' all the way.
    3. Switched from warrior and dying all the time to night elf hunter and then had to ask how I tamed an animal. She's still one of my 3 mains.
    4. Getting on every boat I could and wondering where the hell I'd ended up.
    5. The infamous Wetlands/Dun Morogh run to get from Menethil to Ironforge.
