THIS ISSUE STEMS FROM A FAULTY ECU WHICH IN TURN MAKES THE VEHICLES TRANSMISSION SHIFT GEARS HARSHLY! The fix involves an ECU repair and remedies the issue!

this just goes to show that people should stop being obsessed with number plates. This 20+ year old car performs just as it did brand new. You got to give it to toyota, it was cars of these times that didn't have planned obsolescence. This channel has really educated and changed my perspective on vehicles. Knowledge is power
@@lethalstreak spot on! These older vehicles were built with replaceability of parts in mind! Aslong as you maintain and replace parts, the vehicle can perform almost like new for decades and decades !
I have the manual one 2005 model, locally assembled,2.0 4WD. 7th year and no issues. Mechanics salivating for the car

Please replace the shock dust rubber it will help you save your shocks from mixture of water and dust which reduce the life span of the shocks

That's an excellent car. I almost bought a few of them myself in fact. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find one that was within my price range and still in decent enough condition to where I could fix it up at a reasonable price and use it as a daily driver. I ended up buying a 2005 Honda CR-V with a 5 speed manual transmission. I love it!
CRV also a great buy!

About harsh shifting im currently experiencing the harsh shifting and i was thinking of buying a new 4wheel transmission i am very glad fir the enlightenment….where did you get your ecu checked and does it mean you need do change the whole ecu ?

@@alvindtb I used CarKey Masters near Sarit Roundabout . If the ECU is repaired in time then you are sorted but if you’ve been driving the car for long with harsh shifts, there could be abit of damage to the transmission. But first, check the ECU repair out hopefully it sorts you. They don’t replace it, they refurbish it and change any bad capacitors then they test the vehicle out.
