@@icaindianen chronologically I guess, but it's not like the JA-37C is overpowered or wildly gamebreaking. We'll get the AJ soon enough and everything will be fine. Sweden needed both a new fighter and attack aircraft and tbh I preferred a new fighter first.
Gajin really need to make it so in Ground RB, and air Rb for that matter, when landing you can change your load out to what best suits how the match is playing out if you have the sp available.
For the life of me I can’t figure out why they haven’t done this. It seems like a no brainer.
I thought you could.....? After repairing, don't take off. Stay on the runway and "J" out instead and you can re-select your bomb/rocket loadout then re-deploy at no extra cost.

After several consecutive deaths by MBT mgs in my ah1g without getting any kills, you can very much get me to this point.
You know the true Viggen way is to fire all of the rockets at once in one trigger pull and then go back and rearm. Those pods are rocket shotguns.
Fun fact is that the 30mm cannon on the JA37 is chambered in the same 30x173 shell as the 30mm GAU-8 on the A-10

Phlee, play the I-185 (M-82) for CAS. It is WAAAAAY underrated (3x20mm with powerphul AP + bombs/rockets). It's also really phast.

Hey Phly, thanks for your continued content. I don't always play War Thunder (need those breaks to keep my sanity) but your videos are always a constant in my life. I am thinking of starting to play some DCS content and am trying to find a nice setup. I've been looking at the Virpil setup and looks amazing but is out of my price range, something to save towards in the future. In the mean time I'm looking at some other setups. With that in mind I wanted to ask you what you run for your flight setup? I've tried to search your channel for what you run but have come up empty. Thanks for taking the time to read this hopefully!
With the HeatFS death, It wouldnt blow out because the heat shell made a hole into your crew compartment, so Id imagine that it would just explode the path of least resistance, which would be into the crew compartment.
also blowout panels (irl at least) are not magic, even if the firewall isn't compromised it doesn't mean the crew is safe. It's still a big explosion after all. Idk if this is programmed in the game tho
I love the MiG-21 F-13. The 30mms can do good damage agaisnt SPAAs and tanks at top down, has access to bombs, good enough speed, and the best feature: its cheap (7000 lions spaded). Other jets are too expensive to have any fun with them, and playing SPAAs in high tier isn't fun since its so much rarer to see planes other than choppers

Blowout panels don't work if penned from inside the crew compartment. Pressure is going to go the path of least resistance- which is the hole into the crew compartment.

When I was a kid they still flew these things all over the place and thet flew a LOT.
They would fly so low it felt like they were at the tree tops ( but in reality the "safety protocol" wouldn't let them fly lower than 50 meters over land.
Over sea, it was like 15 or 20 meters I think.
They make a sound that has you questioning if you are still in reality. There is nothing like the thunder of a squadron of Viggen passing over your head. You'll be too scared to shit your pants.
The viggen version you are flying had the A10 ammo, don't know why it doesn't in-game.

Shoulda brought a light tank so you can reduce the spawn points needed to spawn it in.
Phly, you can change your weapons setup ingame. After you land and rearm, leave the vehicle before you try to take off. In the vehicle selection screen the plane will be available again with no cost for the same load out or with added cost for another load.

The contrast from the ka launching rockets at 6km while neutralizing inbound sams to you trying everything to make 24 rockets work after making 800sp is crazy. I don’t even play anymore because of the economy but I would be so annoyed.
Ka-52 has APS for incoming missiles but i think it's for IR ones tho idk
@@kajmak64bit76 it has APS against everything but cannon rounds in the form of the Vikhr missiles, they are point defense, anti air, anti tank all rolled into one. A good Ka-52/Ka-50 pilot is nigh untouchable to all threats.

Hi Phly! Did you know that when you land and rearm in the airfield, if you hold J and leave the vehicle before you have pressed any keys, you will get the SP back and you can spawn again after changing the armament
blowout panels were made realistic so if there was a hole going through the armour that stops the explosion, the explosion goes through. You know like real life

The J stands for "Jakt", which is "hunt" in swedish so this is suppost to be a "hunting" kind of aircraft , and "FARA" is "danger" in swedish. U can see that on the front sides on the aircraft, right where the air intake is.

Use them fancy counter measures more. Suppose to help prevent u dying to missiles. I use a double flare chaff meathod myself. Never know whats comin at ya

You used to able to swap load outs without having it count as a whole new plane....that was one thing I never understood in ground RB way back when I'd spawn with the Do-217 with x4 1000s do my run land and swap to 4 500s because it was easier to take off than trying with the short runways at the time.

Question for the lovely lads here, what is your take on fighters having a far smaller SP cost? Assuming you're using a belt that is 100% HE, I think it would be a lot more interesting as a counter to enemy planes than just "haha I spawn Adats / Tunguska and murder you with two buttons", although it would also slightly take away from the "reward" nature of aircraft in GRB, and also some of the risk, as exchanged for your inability to harm all but the least armoured / open topped targets.
In high rank maybe. But in lower ranks I would almost be for banning fighters from ground RB entirely. Reason being proper ground attack aircraft at those ranks. Attackers don't really have a role in air RB because you just have to hope none of the fighters want to go for an easy kill. And guess what, if you take a proper ground attack aircraft into ground RB, the mode that they should be made for, there will also be fighters just wanting to go for an easy kill and not concerning themselves with the ground battle any more than they have to. But attackers are generally relatively easy to shoot down with AA (mostly slower and bigger than fighters) so why not ban fighters in lower ranks and let the proper AA do the job (coming from someone who is fairly decent in an AA at least)?
@@raphaelhenrich9791 good point. Attacker aircraft like IL2 and HS129 should be more useful but they just get stomped so it's really not fun

13:35...actually no...you need to fly at high altitude (around 6-7k) above the battle (but first you need to side climb like 10km away from the battle to avoid being shot or lock) the best spaas in the game have only 360°x18° Seach zone. So if you fly over them they won't see you on the radar.
