but they would have to get back into rear drive to be taken seriously for the bigger cars. It can be done, In Iran they sell a banjo rear drive 405...that was engineered/converted very cheaply
Oh belive me I know they share common platform to be more accurate platform 3. Which for now consists of Citroen C6, C5 and Peugeot 508. But I`m not sure if that`s the case with Citroen C8 and Peugeot 807. I think that`s the case but I`m unsure. But anyhow I know they share a number of bolts & pieces but there`s a cruical difference and that is Hydropnevmatic suspension which Peugeot 508 doesen`t have like C6 and C5 have. Moreover C5 also hase fixed hub steering wheel. If nothing else qualifies.
mounting a different suspension is cheap in the big scheme of things.Toyota and Honda are masters at Common rail.I just wish Peugeot would see the US as an important market again. BMW,Audi, VW,Benz have been re-skinning the same platforms for many years. If Volvo can sell modestly disguised Mazda and Mitsubishi platforms, surely Peugeot could do something to their version of GMs Epsilon platform? I love my 450,000+mile Liberte' wagon here, like nothing else on the road. and the magic carpet ride
long live Citroen ☆☆☆☆☆
