@Desiring God, would it be possible, in the future, to include the links to the previous parts in the description section? Often I have to scramble when I notice that the video is #3, and I haven't even watched #1 yet. It would be much easier on myself, as I'm sure it would be for others. Thank you.

Speaking of repetitions and their role to enhance and reinforce a biblical statement, is Greek grammar acceptable, when affirming that Paul, Silvanus 'AND' Timothy are not members of a trinity, but when applying the same rule to God the Father 'AND' the Lord Jesus our understanding of 2 distinct persons should flip over to 3 equal persons? Isn't that the very definition of cognitive dissonance?

    "Connected to THEM"
    He is not a "they."
Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is ONE Lord.
It is not proper to speak of God as "they."
    And yes, language matters.

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
      Genesis 1:26

@@the.seagull.35 yes, that God = Elohim in the Hebrew. It's a plural. That is the same "we" referenced in Genesis 11: the Tower of Babel. "Let us go down..."
The LORD GOD never speaks of the LORD GOD in a self-referential "we." And the LORD (YHWH) GOD is never referred to as a "they" in the Bible.
Go into all the world and and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in THE name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.

@@AnHebrewChild Out of curiosity, do you believe Elohim is different than YHWH? Wouldn't that imply that YHWH was not the same God (Elohim) who created the world in Genesis 1?
How can that be true if YHWH is identified in Genesis 2, and all through the entire Bible, as the Creator God?

And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; *The Lord our God is one Lord:* And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
I and my Father are *one.*
      _
Even if God, _within himself,_ uses a royal "we," which is not what is going on in Genesis 1 or 11... but even if, it is not proper to refer to the one Lord as "they."
      He is not a "they."
