Town of Salem 2 has different factions in it.
The Coven: The Dreamweaver, Enchanter, Illusionist, Medusa, Conjuror, Jinx, Ritualist, Coven Leader, Hex Master, Witch, Necromancer, Poisoner, Potion Master, Voodoo Master and Wildling
The Town: Coroner, Investigator, Lookout, Psychic, Seer, Sheriff, Spy, Tracker, Deputy, Trickster, Veteran, Vigilante, Jailor, Mayor, Monarch, Prosecutor, Bodyguard, Cleric, Crusader, Trapper, Admirer and Amnesiac
The Neutral Apocalypse: Baker, Famine, Berserker, War, Plaguebearer, Pestilence, Soul Collector and Death
Neutral Evil: Executioner, Jester, Doomsayer, Pirate
Neutral Killing: Arsonist, Serial Killer, Shroud and Werewolf

My favourite thing about Trapper is the traps lasting after the trapper dies. It can cause a real riot particularly in lobbys where people aren't nesseserily paying as much attention as they should be. One of my personal favorite games was as a trapper, either the first or second time I ever got it, and early enough I had yet to learn how skills worked in relation to dying. I put a trap on someone, then died night 2. The Town ended up at 1 cov and one not killing town left, and everyone, myself included had entirely forgotten I'd put the trap on the townie. The reaction to towns win was hilarious.

in terms of the seer in that first game, checking a DC n1 can be beneficial since their role is guaranteed to be revealed the next morning and it can either hard clear or hard confirm someone
I think it’s higher risk. You gain less info specifically because one of the two roles is known info. Choosing two different players gives your twice the info. You might not find an immediately confirmed evil, but you will provide town with more info.
@@rogue-null disagree, it provides info on the relationship of two players, except if you do it on someone who died you know a lot more about the other one instantly. You don't get more information for choosing two active players, you get the same amount except you don't know what roles they are.
Yes, but that doesn't clear their innocence unless they are found friend's with a dc'd townie. A dc'd cov or ne will always be found enemies unless you get really lucky with your 2nd choice. I wouldn't check a dc'd unless i know they are town.
@@ric6611 Yes, but info on this relationship is generally less valuable because one of them is already dead and is no longer influencing the game. You also have a higher risk of BOTH players being dead then, making your info entirely useless.
Info on two alive players is better than one. Not to mention Medusa and Enchanter would go on the dc if they don't have book. Games don't last long enough to where the seer would usually get to pick every single player. At most all the seer is really doing is trading info and a possible vet death for a crus death.
Something to remember is that Jinx can only hit 1 player. So in the case of the Investigator in the first game, they must have seen the Jinx whilst another player (maybe Werewolf) absorbed the attack. Since the other player is a neutral with def they didn't want to mention it.
Of course that guy was acting weird and didn't post his will so it made sense to hang him anyway.
That jester strat is also kinda dumb and bad, because you are basically gambling that there is no deputy. If there is a deputy, you instantly loose, and even if not town could be patient and let a vigi handle it, especially if they have other leads.

As a conj, I will unironically nuke a jester like that if I am in a bad enough mood. It even got me a win once due to a kingmaker situation.
What i never understood is why pirate is allowed to rock out but jester and exe always get hate
@@jujijuman A pirate tends to stay quiet and do their thing, while jest and exe must actively push lies (and usually terrible ones) to achieve their goals. In fact, most non-town roles can get away with being unnoticed which lets town work.

But I just won as Jest by selfing an SK blow N1 and getting witched N2. When I was on trial and someone was accused of being the witch, I said to guilty me.

Ever since I got TOS2, I keep seeing people I played with earlier in the day playing with Pipton kinda crazy how small the game can be
I imagine checking the dc on someone is is because they are guaranteed to be hard-revealed their role. So it’s an easy confirm for whoever was compared to 9.
Example: if 9 and 5 were friends, and 9 was illus, that would hard confirm 5 as coven, yes?
Yeah seems like a smart move really.
However if more people started doing it - it becomes vulnerable to illusionists/enchanters. Plus it can accidentally confirm neutrals, say if a coven DC’d and they were checked with a neutral - town would just assume the neutral is also town.
@@the_restitutor_orbis Generally people are pretty on point with knowing the difference between 'confirmed town' and 'not coven'.
@@the_restitutor_orbis for illusionist and enchanter, that wouldn’t really work as well, since they only target 1, not 2 in a night. So they just time walk themselves at night which puts them at a disadvantage.
For your 2nd point, the only confirmation would be they are not coven. You wouldn’t assume townie. A TI like sheriff should easily be able to confirm them after that.
I think what the main argument is that you only get information on one potentially surviving player instead of two. Later in the game the information from night 1 still matters, so knowing the alignment of 2 players is preferred to knowing 1 player's earlier.
It ultimately comes down to personal preference, as I think both strategies work. Checking a dc gives more info on one player immediately, but checking 2 normal players gives a more even split on the info. Plus if you are town and friends with someone it means for those players they can trust each other and sometimes having a player confirmed, even if just to another townie can help a lot.
On the "best vs raw" thing, here's my take:
I LOVED your Day in the Life videos. They were some of the best content you have put out, but it was just because it was so refreshing from the super refined and handpicked games. I think you doing the "refined + raw" is great, but it could also just be nice to throw in a raw video that is 3-4 games once a week with everything else being raw.
In the end, do whatever is best for you and keeps you engaged with making the content you do!
That first game ending was nuts
Seer checking a DC gets an instant confirmation on one of the two. Say DC is evil and seer gets a friends result, other target so evil. Or DC is town and seer sees enemies, you have a confirmed evil. Only unknown outcome is dc evil, enemy result. Seems a valid strat to me

In your second game #7 did the exact same thing as a mayor in my game, i accused him of being pb (spy confirmed someone was plagued) because he hadnt revealed or anything. So he instantly late revealed d5 as mayor and mega hard pushed me.
Some people have a real hard time looking at the game as a game. When you push them they don't think its because "I am actually looking sus from a town's perspective" or not, they take it personal and think you are evil because they can see their own role card and cLeArLy ThEy'Re ToWn.
Like even if you're Mayor, you hadn't made a solid claim or did anything to confirm yourself of course people will be sus of you. "Im TPOW" doesn't mean jack unless you use the self-confirm button.

A bit unrelated, but I really wish more silhouettes had colours that pop out in the design, like with the cleric. Everyone is mostly grey, maybe with a dull yellow belt buckle, and I dunno, I just wish everyone had SOMETHING that popped out.

Spoilers: In the second game, I was immediately suspicious of 10 being coven when they instantly commented on the enchanter dying to trap. It looked like they noticed it way too quickly, implying they had extra information - and that was because they knew their enchanter didn't have the book.
4 could have dodged getting killed by the jinx if ww or pb visited too, and jinx attacked them instead. This would be hard to deduce in a game where you dont know who is what or who does what, but still

as to why the seer checked the dc person, i would do that myself. unless enchanter alters their role, when the next day comes up, you have confirmation on their faction *if friends* or know that theyre enemies with someone, which still tells something about them. if theyre enemies and the dc'd person is coven, you still get a role out of them, but if the dc is town then you just insta lynch them. as for not doing that and still checking 2 people who end up living, you get less information than you think. maybe you get 2 people who are friends but are both coven/apoc/sk/ww etc, you wont know until one of them dies for some reason. and if theyre enemies, then just because theyre enemies doesnt mean theyre town. coven apoc are enemies as are coven NK, coven NE and coven town. so you hang one person and theyre coven? everyone auto assumes the other person is town and lets them ride the easy way to the last few people and possibly the win

I had a feeling that final survivor was evil based on the votes.
But if you had gone to them instead of 10 youd have been 2 town to 3 evil with no achievement.
Checking a DCed player against someone can confirm what alignment they really are, since you will know what alignment the dced player is the next morning. I did this one yesterday in a 6 town match with a ton of NEs, and managed to find that the dced WW was friends with another alive player. This let us win when Death popped out because we knew that Death had to be the last unconfirmed guy who was trying to say the second WW was actually Death.
At the very least, it's useful in All Any because I've seen plenty of townies assume that any pair that are "Friends" must be Town, instead of possibly both being on an evil team.
Both those games were nuts in different ways. Crazy stuff!

Do you find out if you are shrouded? Because if so, they should have come out d2, which if they don’t, that meant shroud visited 7?

Confusing till Pest came out. At the time Invest was hung there was nothing to say there was an Immune/Non Killing role.
Also I've seen an Exe pull that "hey hes Jinx" to get target hung. Hindsight is always 20/20.
I see to many jester just acting annoying or spamming slurs till they get hung and then end like “Haha. GG Ez jest win”. Such a waste of a jest game imo.

In game 2 both necro and shroud attacked 1 I believe causing the necro ghoul to take the trap hit and shroud killed (they also could've shrouded pipe i believe as well but necro ghoul definetly hit the trap that night)
If shroud shrouded pipe his own trap would have killed him
