Customs and standards checks are traditionally done at the border and the driver is the one who's taken the goods to the border.

break. dude you pressed the wrong setting, that should be on ferry. Lets hope you don't have issues with controllers on the other end. What you are doing is not considered as break. However, if you have time you can exist and pull over then take your official break on french soil.

Break as in 45 min not daily rest is perfectly fine on the Dover Calais crossing. Also I had been led to believe that ferry mode was for all ferries but I actually ended up getting an infringement on the return as it’s not technically correct as I had been led to believe by S&K and Topdeck.
