Brought back some memories of time spent down in the butts....... I showed this to my wife and explained some of the things we saw, and said, and did down in the butts years ago........ thanks for the memories!
I looked at the rules for Service Rifle; unfortunately for me, for now, none of my rifles could be used in competition. Someday though. Current builds, WIP: Mk.12 Mod.0 M4 MWS
1. You enjoy spending your money and time on gear, rifles, and training that has absolutely no use or practicality outside the sport itself. 2. You enjoy a 6-8 hour match where you fire 88 rounds in a total time of 56 minutes shooting and 20 minutes preparing to shoot. 3. You enjoy shooting the same course of fire over and over and you get MAD when someone doesn't follow the COF exactly as described in the rulebook. 4. Your gun malfunctions and you raise your hand like a 3 year old and you get an "alibis" because you, your gun, or your ammo is shit. 5. You think going to some shithole lake town in the heat of the summer and living in a ww2 pow hut is cool and maybe even fun. 6. You think gear, reloading techniques and equipment, and "x' brand of barrel will help you stop shooting 7s offhand. 7. You're retired or out of shape or both 8. You think your "service rifle" is the same thing or close to what the military uses. 9. You like shooting an abnormally large target that resembles absolutely nothing in the real world.

Great video! The biggest problem facing all forms of competition shooting is getting more gun owners to take part and benefit from this.
Biggest problem is lack of ammo availability and affordability. And anti-2A groups.
One problem is the matches are 2200 miles from my house!
Agreed, being on a firing line is amazing. And far more tranquil than many will ever know...
I'll never get to compete.
Sure is fun just watching these folks and listen to them talk about it.
What if one day you did?
Outstanding Chris I enjoyed this.

I’m Thinking about picking up a CMR-4. Can anyone give feedback on the eye relief and eye box vs the original CMR?
It's a zen thing.
Absolutely! Mindful target practice

Having shot service rifle I understand these comments well. That said it still was fun for a while.
