The Sardine feeding frenzy is hands down the single best piece of cinematography I've ever seen. Ending it all with the whale is a genuine stroke of documentary genius. The editing, the score, the footage... Absolutely brilliant!!
Sometimes the ball of sardines is enormous and the cycle of predators goes on for ages with them all working together until the whales arrive, not just one, but several. Sometimes an orca pod will be involved too. Amazing.
I know! I had no idea such thing happens in nature. And the way all the predators retreated as the whale rose from the depths, absolutely mind blowing. Amazing camera work.

I went to an Elephant sanctuary in Thailand and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Elephants are so intelligent, gentle and have very different and unique personalities. How anyone could mistreat or kill them is beyond me. When you look into their eyes you see there is a soul that wants to enjoy life, just like you and me.
You have to realize that humans care for animals is a rather new thing. We killed them for food and sometimes even fun for thousands of years. And when you're poor, you don't care about animals.

The tail actually acts as a third leg when they kick out. I watch an australian wild life rescuer which does rescue the occasional kangaroo. They put up large stuffed animals (kids toys) for the juveniles to practice on.
The sardine one is really spectacular. I remember watching a scene similar to this in my class and I started crying because of how beautiful predators work together to achieve their common goal while helping one another.
