    Very simple learned early in my life, but thanks to internet people like you doing simple videos may actually save life's, good job. Even knowing I still enjoy clips like this, keep it up.

    Why not pull the breaker out first then work on the wires it puts distance between you and the bus bar allowing a safer disconnection of the wire leads

      Agreed 100% and to me you don't mess with live circuits... Id shut down the whole breaker panel then remove the breaker itself and remove it completely so no mistakes happen and the wires get capped with tape

      depending on the wire length and how the wires are routed some times you can't so i showed both ways only turn off the main if its ok that it never turns back on !

      Not sure about sticking my hand in a live panel with a wedding band on. Unless it's nonconductive. I went to wearing a silicone band, will break if it gets caught and won't get you shocked. Using insulated needle nose is also a great way to control the wire without your hand in a panel.

      Why do electricians always feel the need to stick a screwdriver where it's not supposed to be? If you're not tightening or loosening something, put it down. No reason for anything but the breaker to get within 6 inches of the bus bars.

      @toolsandtactics  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      @TOOL_TECHNICAL
      Most residential panels never get maintained like in commercial,
      Breakers should be “exercised” or turned on or off about once a year to make sure they have not gotten stuck and to keep them in good working order
      If you don't ever exercise the breakers, they may not ever turn on when they trip
      Especially the big ones

    I hate working on panels , i am an industrial HVACR tech and sometimes i call the electrician for something and he tells me to do it myself its easy and he is too busy, i was an electrician apprentice for about 6 months so i have done some panel work but i know it doesn't always go as planned and i should just leave it to the electrician.

    Really you can and should just turn the main breaker off so all the diy people don’t make the mistake of killing themselves but you know the risk to telling people what is dangerous or not must be more than the risk of these people touching that bar behind the breaker

  • @jooproos6559

    And no inspection for WHY the breaker is broken??Maybe to much current?There are clients who will switch and switch back a lot off times and then the broker has gone bad!If that is the case then there must be a inspection for the rest off the wires or a machine etc.
