I think that feeling doesn’t go away. Mines are 16 and 12, boy and girl, and I still have a hard time leaving my kids “alone”. It’s just a mom thing. We LOVE our babies.

Thank you for real week in the life with a newborn! Very real. Yes, the sunroom conversion to a playroom sounds like a great idea. A fun playful area rug and a foam letters/numbers mat would look cute in there with some small bookshelves bolted to the wall, baby toys, and plushies etc.

As a momma to a baby who took forever to sleep through the night and woke up every 3-4 hours for a while, it’s frustrating but they learn to sleep on their eventually! Just go based on what he’s doing. I stressed myself out with wake windows and sleep and it was all consuming. Comparison is the thief of joy. One day you’ll miss those middle of the night snuggles just a little.

Also, my little guy didn’t sleep through the night til he was 9 months old. The transition to his room was rough, but around a year he started sleeping 12 hours and has every day since. I miss those contact naps though.

My four and a half month old is still waking and feeding every 3 hours. We just started sleep training and it’s so hard! Every baby is so different and I totally relate to being like “they should be sleeping longer by now”. It’s so hard but I know it’s just a season. You are doing amazing!

Mom of a 2 and 4 year old -All of those thoughts during yoga are so normal and I promise it will slowly fade away. I did have a lot of intrusive thoughts and I found a therapy company for new moms called prospera and they gave me a lot of tools to deal with it and it’s been getting better. You’re doing amazing!

Ehh I think about my kids constantly when I’m away from them and they’re 10, 8, and 2. My toddler hates when I leave and it rips me in two. I still leave and know he’s fine, but it’s a season and I do know it well by now.

My son woke up through the night until he was a year old. And then all of the sudden he was sleeping through the night. He's 10 now and that was such a small portion of his life. Good for you for not pressuring either of you into a certain type of sleep schedule

I know co sleeping is a controversial topic but non the less, us adults love and enjoy sleeping next to our husband or wife for the comfort and not being alone but we expect a new baby to sleep by themselves. They just left the comfort of the womb and are now all by themselves. Babies want their parents for comfort especially while sleeping. They are only tiny for so long and will only want mom or dad for so many years.

Always love your vlogs. Glad you are getting back into a routine with Jack. He's getting so big. Not a big fan of candy corn.

Wait till jack gets his first cold. You'll really worry. My oldest is 5 and I still worry when I'm out of the house by myself

My first child slept through the night when we brought her home. I had to wake her to nurse. The second child was the total opposite. She wanted to feed every hour. And I'm almost due with baby 3 so we shall see what this one does

My baby was born sept 1st and literally same sleep schedule that you mentioned. It is SO normal. I really think it’s more common, but people who do have babies that sleep longer stretches are louder about it 😐
If my baby starts sleeping through the night, I know I won’t be bragging about it bc every baby is different and I know I don’t want to make other moms to question themselves.

My niece was born on August 31st. Her name is Autumn Charlotte. She was supposed to be born on October 4th. So she's a premie. Right now she's having alot of gas issues. My brother and his girlfriend just found out that Autumn is allergic to dairy and soy. Jen is trying to avoid dairy now.
