@@liz8778 That's why it's healthy but it's lacking in protein. It has some but not enough to constitute a proper meal. Blood sugar levels is one thing to feel energetic but protein is necessary to build a strong body and it helps tremendously with fat loss.
Also vegans don't like to hear this but animal proteins have perfect or nearly perfect amino acid profiles whereas plant protein can only be counted as half of what the label says. In my opinion a meal is built around animal protein considering meal size and convenience.

Having an adequate amount of protein at breakfast can offer several potential benefits, including:
    1. **Satiety:** Protein is more satiating than carbohydrates or fats, meaning it can help you feel fuller for longer. Starting your day with a protein-rich breakfast may help reduce cravings and prevent overeating later in the day.
    2. **Muscle maintenance:** Consuming protein in the morning can provide amino acids necessary for muscle repair and maintenance. This is particularly important if you exercise regularly or are looking to build or preserve muscle mass.
    3. **Blood sugar control:** Including protein at breakfast can help stabilize blood sugar levels, preventing spikes and crashes in energy levels throughout the morning. This can be especially beneficial for individuals with diabetes or those trying to manage their weight.
    4. **Metabolism:** Protein has a higher thermic effect compared to carbohydrates or fats, meaning your body burns more calories digesting and metabolizing protein. Including protein at breakfast may slightly increase your metabolic rate.
    5. **Nutrient intake:** Protein-rich foods often contain other essential nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats. Choosing protein sources like eggs, Greek yogurt, or nuts for breakfast can help ensure you're getting a variety of nutrients to start your day.
However, it's important to balance your protein intake with other macronutrients and consider your individual dietary needs and preferences. A well-rounded breakfast that includes protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats can provide sustained energy and support overall health. Additionally, the total amount of protein you need each day will vary depending on factors such as age, sex, activity level, and health goals. Consulting with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian can help you determine your specific protein needs and create a balanced meal plan. 😉🌹🤗🙏

Type2 here dealing with menopause too. For breakfast I basically alternate different omelets (sometimes even with vegetables!) and maybe 2-3 times per week I have a small amount of unsweetened oats with greek style natural unsweetened yoghurt, nuts and forest fruits. Unsweetened coffee with whole milk after. Should I fully cut off oats even though I wrap them up with healthier foods? Also, I know that apples are not that healthy, but I quite like the bitter varieties such as Granny Smith, I have them with their peel. Are those better than the sweeter apples? Thanks so much for your videos and advice!

So many people in the comments saying “but not MY sugar!” Seriously, imagine having ANY meal anymore in America without a sugary substance, let alone a morning meal. Between maple syrup, sugar sweetened cereal, sugary coffee drinks, sugary honey, sugary jam, sugary ketchup, sugary Nutella, sugary donuts, sugary juice, sugary white bread with no wheat germ and the only nutrients being added vitamins. If you want to have a bad day of sugar highs and crashes, have a lot of sugar first thing in the morning. And if you can’t go a single meal without sugar, you’re in worse trouble than you think.

I was raised on this drink ....One raw farm egg, raw milk with some of the cream , a spoon of raw local honey, and a few drops of homade vanilla paste. Pop it your bullet, blend it up, and drink. It tastes like drinking melted ice cream. It's got protein and fat with that touch of honey. I was raised on this, and I've raised my kids on this, too.

Made out of previous night left over rice soaked in plain water next day morning it is optional to add little salt and buttermilk and Gingilly oil… our favourite side dish is raw shallot ..

I load up a 3 egg omelette with spinach, riced cauliflower and whatever other vegetables I have on hand as well. This week the addition is yellow squash and zucchini. Added 2 pieces of chicken thigh from dinner night before and I wasn’t hungry for several hours. Usually with just the omelette I am starving about an hour later. High protein breakfast is the key.

I agree and some people really do not respond well to fructose and so you have to really gauge whether you're one of those people or not. it makes it more difficult to pass up the sugar but if you find natural jelly then you can have just a tablespoon on the bread or yogurt. I recommend you do this if you have weight retention ...one piece of fruit can throw off that whole protein breakfast thing

I swapped out bread for chicory, with boiled eggs and a sprinkle of cheese and olive oil. I love it. I am on a low sugar diet for a few years now and the biggest change is I dont get sick anymore. Last winter I had a very mild cold but completely gone after two days. Not much improvement in bodyfat though that is not my goal. Looking forward to your new book.

Every nutrition person gets this wrong. Nuts should not be on that list. Nuts are like 80-90 percent fat and not low in protein.
I like nuts and think they are healthy. But, not a protein food. Better off eating cheese
