Charlie always seems to be the one who gets the joke last. And by last I mean two minutes later, and then proceeds to explain it to everyone else. In detail.
In grove city, ohio in 2001 the karaoke lady at a local bar purchased the karaoke version of A man of constant sorrow. And she said i was the first one to ever sing that song karaoke.
Interview ends too soon. I'm sure these guys would've wanted to credit Clooney's voiceover to the great Dan Tyminski on Man of Constant Sorrow. What a great vocalist.
if i was an actor and the Cohen brothers sent ME a script on a man flushing a toilet, I'd do it in a heartbeat. The Cohens are great writing and film making.
Joel Coen studied philosophy at Princeton with Walter Kaufmann, the country's top Nietzsche expert. I don't believe for a second that he never read The Odyssey, except maybe for a technicality like not reading it in the original Greek.
They couldn’t have picked worse clips to showcase. They give you nothing in regards to how incredible this movie is. Also, the 🎵 🎵 was amazing! I loved this movie... also watched last night on my Plex, how the Hell did TH-cam know that!?!? 🕵️♀️ 👀
"Sullivan's Travel's said that "O Brother Where Art Thou" was supposed to be profound and socially conscious, but his butler kept insisting, "With a little humor".
I don't know where you heard that. He is consistently superficial and ill-prepared, and asks inane questions, despite his presumption of urbane sophistication.
I love this movie but others near me were offended. I do not see why. Was the historical depiction of blacks handled well or delicately enough? Does it make light of the subject? Is this an accurate/fair depiction of the south during this time period? was the use of the n-word necessary? Please, explain.
The Coen Brothers are great, but i never could stand Charlie Rose and his obnoxious laugh. He never knew much about cinema or music but tried to pretend he did.
random guy from the internet here. Agreed, I always wondered how both, Charlie Rose and Larry King were ever successful at what they did (with all do respect, but I think that they would both be inclined to agree). They were just perfect analogs for the masses to relate with, I guess.
Oh come on George, lighten up a bit a stop putting on the fake " I'm so modest " persona in this interview. Your two co-workers in this video should have been paid double for each of their roles ! Amazing actors indeed. You should be so lucky.
WTF was that clip? The Coen Brothers must have been so tired of this crap, they got asked for a clip and just randomly selected 10 seconds in the movie.

Hot damn, it’s The Soggy Bottom Boys!
The music ... the music ... the music ... my mom loved this kind of music, she grew up on it, this movie still brings tears to my eyes ...
The music was 80% of the movie and that says a lot!
Charlie always seems to be the one who gets the joke last. And by last I mean two minutes later, and then proceeds to explain it to everyone else. In detail.
Man, his laugh is killing me😂😂😂
I hated the way that sometimes his questions would keep going and going and going and going and going... annoying, isn't it?
"O Brother Where Art Thou" was a brilliant movie.
No fucking shit.
I never tire of watching clips or the whole thing
Still is.
In grove city, ohio in 2001 the karaoke lady at a local bar purchased the karaoke version of A man of constant sorrow. And she said i was the first one to ever sing that song karaoke.
Bet I've watchted the movie 50 times.
Johnny Salter hell yeah, when my sons lived at my house we could recite the whole damn movie, outstanding.
@@kyzor-sosay6087 I'm with you fellers lol
@@imraycl friend, some of your foldin' money has come unstowed
Me too! My familys fav movie and the soundtrack is right down my hillbilly family alley!!
I love the way Tim played Delmar!! It was brilliant! My family and i quote his lines alot!
tim blake nelson is underrated
By who?
My favorite filmmakers!!!! This movie and soundtrack is one of my favs of all time!!
One of the best and most enjoyable filmmaker interviewers ever.. Including the filmmakers themselves.
Wonderful movie, just seen today for the first time
Why is Charlie finding every damn word so funny
He doesn't get comedy but is trying to. Idiots use social manipulation instead of coming up with something funny to say.
He’s laughing so much cuz he’s got his Johnson out under the table
Interview ends too soon. I'm sure these guys would've wanted to credit Clooney's voiceover to the great Dan Tyminski on Man of Constant Sorrow. What a great vocalist.
Do not seek the treasure.
We thought you was a Toad
Charlie is laughing like he smoked a joint before the interview
For real 😂😂😂
probably did
I've never seen so much laughter in my life.
if i was an actor and the Cohen brothers sent ME a script on a man flushing a toilet, I'd do it in a heartbeat. The Cohens are great writing and film making.
Not many people know this, but their father is legendary independent filmmaker Larry Cohen.
Coen.
@@chiefscheiderLarry Cohen is not related to Joel and Ethan Coen.
I know, Chuckles. It was a joke because taypar spelled their last name like Larry's 😵
@chiefscheider3445 Why call me Chuckles. I didn't laugh at your "joke".
Joel Coen studied philosophy at Princeton with Walter Kaufmann, the country's top Nietzsche expert. I don't believe for a second that he never read The Odyssey, except maybe for a technicality like not reading it in the original Greek.
Idiot editor cut the clip just before Delmar said the punch line.
@Boco Corwin @JiveDadson I’m with you fellers
I don't want Fop goddam it, I'm a dapper Dan man!
"This ain't no laughing matter, Everett." I loved Delmar in that movie.
One of the most memorable, funniest charlie rose interviews for sure
Well I'm with you fellas.
Pete! It's me, Delmar! Pete!
I wonder if these guy had any inkling of much of a hit and a classic this movie would become? Bunch of geniuses sitting around the table here.
Sheesh giggling like schoolgirls
Love Demar, TBN did an awesome job
Agreed! My family and i quote his lines frequently!
Those photos the Coens blackmailed Clooney with, could they be from On Wings as Eagles!?
Noodlesmcmuffin hahahhaa loved it!
Bro - you’re onto something. They definitely wrote that in Hail Cesar! to further this joke. Amazing
Doubt it
The Coen brothers influenced how I view the world. I read about a scene in a book or in a YT video and think so Coen and wish they still made films.
I can only imagine what the set was like with them laughing this much during the interview! This movie is truly one of the funniest ever
This is the Charlie at his giggliest
They couldn’t have picked worse clips to showcase. They give you nothing in regards to how incredible this movie is. Also, the 🎵 🎵 was amazing! I loved this movie... also watched last night on my Plex, how the Hell did TH-cam know that!?!? 🕵️♀️ 👀
youtube knows all!!
I’m the paterfamilias!
"Sullivan's Travel's said that "O Brother Where Art Thou" was supposed to be profound and socially conscious, but his butler kept insisting, "With a little humor".
8:02 ... damn, they're in a tight spot!
I just watched the Charlie Rose interview for Fargo and Joel and Ethan switched places in terms of the cool one and the geeky one in the interim.
I've never seen an interview that contains as much laughing as this one.
Its annoying! Charlie needs to get more serious because this movie is a MASTERPIECE!!
They cut off the clip when Delmar said, "Okay, I'm with you fellas."
If you haven't seen it, check out John Turturro in "Box Of Moonlight". Great movie.
Ethan looks like David Foster Wallace in this interview
Ethan has a reluctant face at some points I would love to know what he's really thinking . . .
That Charlie rose is a complete dbag
We don't care if you can sing or not George, you're awesome in that movie!
Coen brothers are great directors specialty, no country for old man.
My favourite comedy movie and then there was the music.
Gréât interview ..
Do you have the episode about The Insider with Michael Mann and the real Jeffrey Wigand?
I m shaking these fools down for this one
I'd always heard that Charlie Rose was a brilliant interviewer?!?!? That's twelve minutes and forty-six seconds I'll never get back.
I don't know where you heard that. He is consistently superficial and ill-prepared, and asks inane questions, despite his presumption of urbane sophistication.
This interview had some awkward moments but I’m usually a fan of his interviews
Well, that kinda settles the Odyssey bit.
2:19 i'm sorry, what the duck?
That was my thought as well. What on earth is going on there?
3:37 he’s was probably 💯 honest about that blackmail joke.
We thought... you... was... a toad...
I love this movie but others near me were offended. I do not see why. Was the historical depiction of blacks handled well or delicately enough? Does it make light of the subject? Is this an accurate/fair depiction of the south during this time period? was the use of the n-word necessary? Please, explain.
Is Charlie on edibles?
put 7 brilant minds in a room and you get...magic
5 actually
This seems taped in the early 90's. How does this look so dated?! Super weird.
I notice that about early 2000's stuff like this. Such a big jump to today quality wise, even though this truly wasn't THAT long ago.
Bluegrass music 🎶🎵
Is this an interview or what?
... " Damn were in a tight spot...... "
is this an interview or a giggle fest?
The Coen Brothers are great, but i never could stand Charlie Rose and his obnoxious laugh.
He never knew much about cinema or music but tried to pretend he did.
random guy from the internet here. Agreed, I always wondered how both, Charlie Rose and Larry King were ever successful at what they did (with all do respect, but I think that they would both be inclined to agree). They were just perfect analogs for the masses to relate with, I guess.
What a weird thumbnail...
Oh come on George, lighten up a bit a stop putting on the fake " I'm so modest " persona in this interview. Your two co-workers in this video should have been paid double for each of their roles ! Amazing actors indeed. You should be so lucky.
I'm 4 minutes in and I can't watch this- wtf is with the constant laughter at nothing?
Are they high?
Im gonna R.U.N.N.O.F.T
WTF was that clip? The Coen Brothers must have been so tired of this crap, they got asked for a clip and just randomly selected 10 seconds in the movie.
The #metoo movement took down a poor interviewer...One of the best movies ever, though.
Is that Pete? I thought he'd been turned into a hhhh...orny toad!
I did not like this movie, seems hard that they made Big Lebowski which is on another level
It's better the second time.
Or the twentieth!
The ol wink wink nudge nudge Hollywood/cia black mail photograph joke
Bluegrass. Its bluegrass. And they dubbed Dan Tyminski over Clooney :)
they just sat and talked about nothing together for 12 minutes lmao
Why is Charlie acting like the movie sucks???
Too much laughing
This is unwatchable
So much awkward laughing
Charlie Rose, so awkward.
TL;DW: *Awkward nervous laughter*
What's so goddam funny? Heh..
Charlie can’t shut his mouth.
The most pretentious self important interviewer of all. I used to like Charlie Rose and can't believe I didn't see how arrogant he is.
I hate fire!
WTF was that.
maybe the worst interview ive seen
Clooney is so bad in this movie, out of place
I think he did a good job playing a smooth talking pseudo intellectual who’s obsessed with his outward appearance
Wrong. He’s perfect.
