I'm thinking about mounting a back up camera in this same spot where you put the pocket. It looks like a 7 inch screen would fit perfect. Thanks for the video.
JP - At the beginning of this video you say you have done one on putting a new radio in where the cassette player is. I can't find that video and it is exactly what I need! Can you please provide a link to it? Thanks!
Thanks for the information, do they make a din radio that fits the pocket area?, don't want a radio that far out of the driver reach in my 94 suburban.
used your link to buy the pocket. What I'd like to do is swap the climate controls to a tablet type of control system is it possible on a truck this old without having to spend like 500?
Does anyone know where the white cable goes? Or what it is for? I am watching this so I can take out my aftermarket and put in an OEM in my 92. Thank you!
I doubt you will see this but gonna do it anyway. 1990 Chevy Cheyenne that already had a Pioneer CD stereo installed. Do they make an adapter to go from Pioneer 16 pin to what's available today for just basics and Bluetooth?
@@jptheinstallguyDon't need Pioneer really, putting a cheap radio in there but not sure what ISO means in car stereo land exactly. I am just looking to see if there is an adapter to go from a male Pioneer config to a female Pioneer and then to ISO? Maybe? Sorry I'm stupid but thanks for replying.
Love the content have a issue on my 1991 k1500 battery’s keeps draining did a drain test and it was battery Fuse so I disconnected stereo boom problem gone. What can I do I’m positive it’s my red ignition wire or yellow constant wire what can I do to fix it. Also stereo won’t turn off when key is out I have to manually turn off still drains it
it's a blessing to discover your channel. Straight installation talks. Others are to bits by bits, finally I get to learn about audio ground up.
Thank you for taking the time to put up this video! Very helpful information!

Glad it was helpful!💪🏾

Hey love the content I had to watch this video several times but not want to route my 1/0 power wire. not sure what’s best way to route 1/0 cca wire.
@JPtheinstallguy is it possible to power up just the clock on the display?
Where did you get your radio and the extra trim piece
What one is the 12v ignition switch I’m trying to do mine rn and I can’t figure out which wire it is
Straight forward, and skipping the unneeded stuff 👍
Is it possible I could instead install something like a CarPlay unit?

Is there a pocket for the cassette equalizer?

How did you install the radio

I'm not sure if pioneer makes a specific one but some foreign company may make one as long as the wires match it should work

Thank you for this video.. I want an Android screen for a 1994 GMC Suburban.. 2500c
You have any tips on why my new radio has power, turns on, seeks etc but there is no audio at all?
My 94 the factory speakers wouldn't come on. They all needed replaced.

Blue turn off cable in the wiring harness.
Hey jp I have a 95 Chevy Silverado thanks for showing me how to install the radio but nowi only get music out of one speaker can you help?
you may have a blown speaker
could you put a double din instead of the pocket in that space??
Yes. You can buy an install kit for these trucks that is meant for a double din. He has a single din in this video.
My 93 has rear door speakers that are getting NO sound, so where is the OEM Amp? Inside the dash or under the driver's seat?
Under the dash. Above the Gas pedal. 3 bolts. About 4x6 inches metal in color.
Where is the video of the installment of the radio can’t find the video
That wire goes to the main brain of the radio system. On the bottom above the gas pedal.
Is it ok to cut it like he did ?
Could you put an Apple CarPlay Bluetooth radio in there?
Did you ?
se podría instalar un stereo ahi? en ese espacio
Si hacen una exacto por eso. Nomas si cuesta pero se mira bien
I feel like everything’s going to fall out
Is there anyway to install a double din stereo in there instead? I've seen some rare photos on pinterest but no videos on it.
