I live 20 minutes from this theater, and of course I attended.....it was beautiful, in every sense of the word. She was very open and chatty between songs, poured her heart out to us. She's just getting started😊

I remember when Etta released this song. It was done, but not my cup of tea. Then five years ago I watched Angelina cover it at 12 years old and thought she was remarkable singing to a backing track. After watching her video at least a hundred times now over the past five years it was much more appreciated. Now with this live performance with the original Jimmy Z, I LOVE it!
The who’s who’s of music know who Angelina is and recognize her musical genius. Can’t wait for what the next year or two brings.

👏 DAYUM! The blues is my favorite genere. Between 🫶🏻 Angelina’s other worldly talent, Jimmy’s legendary harmonica playing and the outstanding band I was in heaven for the duration of the song.

Jimmy Z used to play for Etta. He also plays the Saxophone, I think flute as well. You will here him play the sax from this same concert.

Jimmy Z is considered one of the foremost harmonica players in the world. What an honor for them to collaborate on this song. I don't know if you have heard it already, but Angelina recorded a version of this when she was 12. She is sitting on her sofa with a new microphone she just got for her birthday. Makes a great comparison to where she is now, and actually it was pretty darn good as you would expect! Thanks for your appreciative reaction.

With the performance of this song and her new Jazz version of her own song, Bad Valentine, Angelina has told the world what a lot of us already knew! SHE is the NEW QUEEN OF JAZZ!! And with JimmyZ one of the greatest living legends of jazz, bowing down to her just solidified that YES she is the QUEEN!!!!! As always I live your reactions to AJ!!!

That 12-year-old girl, who was testing her new microphone on the blue couch, had already created a beautiful and incredible reinterpretation of this legendary song, but this exceptional 18-year-old artist (!😬!) has created another interpretative masterpiece. The passion, pain and disappointment she manages to project in this fantastic reinterpretation are absolutely on par with Etta's and Jimmy is absolutely stunning. No need, that concert was a blast. Angie on top of her game, radiating pure happines, and backed by a great band.
In case you weren't there, those smartphone recordings really cant do it justice. Even the best models have a hard time capturing concert sound properly. The live sound was much more broad and intense.
Lucie I love watching you react to Angelina the best singer in the world, it mirrors the feelings I have every time I hear her song. If I could ever get to one of her concerts I would love to have you sitting next to me. I gotta tell you something: earlier today, I learned that Jimmy Z has toured and recorded with Etta James. Therefore, it is not only abolutely marvelous that Angelina Jordan got him to play with her, but it is similarly marvelous that he kneeled to her after giving his harmonica solo, coronating Angelina as Etta's legitimate successor -- a very touching and iconic moment.

Angelina (18) knocked that out of the park!! And what can you say about Grammy winning Jimmy Z OMG, that is just years of experience that was displayed! When Jimmy knelt down and passed the torch to Angelina for her to carry on is just monumental! I will say it for Jimmy-Etta would be pleased!
