The thing I love about Blue Lock is there isn’t too much emphasis on one protagonist. It shows what the others motives are, their passions, what truly drives them.
There is absolutely emphasis on the protagonist, but to truly have Isagi's moments shine, there has to be proper build up of the friends, rivals, and opponents through his journey c: it's done beautifully

i mean, this type of striker exists IRL just not as exaggerated, in latin america (or at least in Chile) is called "Lauchero", basically its a Striker who waits close to the defending team's goal for any stray ball to score his goal. Its not particulary known for long strides in the field, mostly waits for its chance to strike, like Barou.
I like how their egos take different forms like bachira's ego takes the form of a monster and their egos form auras too like barou's red/black lightning lion aura

Are we just gonna ignore how Rin sprinted more than double the distance Isagi did and was still faster? Like the anime makes it look like if you just understand what will happen, you can intercept it. I guess that's why Japan lost in teh World Cup at the end. They saw everything, but no one was actually running.
He wasn't that far behind Isagi who had to slow down an feint to get away from his defender. It's quite believable for Rin to have gotten to that spot as long as he ran full speed the whole way.
Rin bet on Isagi going for the shot based on Nagi and Isagi’s chemistry, so he probably started getting in position to deal with that from the moment Isagi began to fake out Bachira. Isagi aggressively switched directions 3 times in that fake-out, which would’ve eaten up a couple seconds in total, and since Rin didn’t need to slow down that’s all the time he needed.

This is why bluelock is better than other sports anime. It isnt about team work and friendship, its about ego and being unapologetically better than everyone else, and letting them know that.
Try "One Outs". Older series but gold nevertheless.
I understand your point, but your wording isn't correct in this case. You can't just say bluelock is better than other sports anime just because it's about ego. Blue lock's core ingredients are ego based plays and lots of hype (and obviously less realistic) plays. Still i don't think you can say bluelock is better than haikyuu and kuroko and vice-versa. I think both have different sub-genres that puts them in different categories :)

@@pedrosantos1503 ngl Blue Lock is better as a sports anime as It’s more realistic towards how top class athletes really take sports competitively. it even states the fact japan (other sports anime) believe in teamwork and everyone being a role player. Where as the world and real life it’s about trying to be the best period and not settling for a minor role. Stealing moves from other good players to add to your own but also having your own unique style. Using teammates even to get yourself (and the team essentially) a better opportunity. Give me more sports anime where theyre not only trying to prove their team is better than the next team but each player is trying to prove they are the best on the court/field

I think blue lock really does understand sports it’s not about team work it’s about your abilities if one of your abilities is being able to work great with or off other people then yeah that’s amazing but at the end of the day sports are very selfish it takes a huge ego to be able to crush people dreams, outwork teammates, and perform at the best of your abilities, and be the star of the field.
