After rewatching this season I appreciate this episode even more. There was a build up to this for several episodes, the condor nest was a small thing Jared mentioned at first and noone thought anyone would be interested.
When Erlich put on his braces and clipped his hair to sit down to code, it made ma little emotional. That was a beautiful portrayal of commitment to the project.
"We're going to fail by succeeding" years before the finale, bloody hell. That and Jared's manic "get you rats stat" moment really show how much they planned

I don't know if it was the main reason but the show was basically a casualty of the metoo movement. TJ Millers college gf publicly skewered him for being a little too chokey during sex. Which, I don't have trouble believing.... just seems like it is more of a metoo adjacent kind of situation. But ya, a 20 year old grievance got Miller written off the show and then the actress who played "Carla" accused the show of being a mysoginistic boys club or something. I think she even took a jab at "Richard" because IRL, he and his wife are involved in the swinger lifestyle. After that all shook out publicly, it was announced that the show would not be renewed for a 7th season. So I dunno, maybe there were other factors but the core cast of the show all seemed genuinely disappointed that the show ended. I mean really, stopping the show at that point is like tearing up a winning lottery ticket.

You can just waltz into a successful tv show (or company, or any kind of group) and if you personally don't immediately "click" with everyone in the group, and if some of those relationships that the other members of the group have built together over years dares to be any bit more than the attention they shower on you as the new group member all you have to do is throw your hands up and cry out "misogyny" and "old boy's club" and everyone will believe you.

I think, deep down, I always hope that the actors have some personality traits that resemble the character they are playing and that's why they are so convincing. Unfortunately, the reason her character was so good is because her dialogue was written by a dude.... which she complained about when the show ended and also suggested that she was basically written off the show for voicing her criticisms about the writing. Reminds me of Katherine Heigl trying to throw shade at Seth Rogen after Knocked up became a huge hit. That movie helped launch her career to another level.
