He looks at her in a way that feels he's having a rush and even starts to place the hand he was holding (for the dancing) aside for an opening. He manages to stop himself though, so good on him. He still looks at her the same way he did in this movie.

The biggest hang up I have with watching Cobra Kai is it affirms Daniel didn't go back to Okinawa after the third movie. I even tried watching his reunion with Kumiko in the third season and their chemistry is still too good for them not to have ended up together.
Fun fact: they did consider making a Karate Kid 5 between 02-04, with Daniel marrying Kumiko and Johnny becoming a doctor. Also, Miyagi, Daniel, Johnny, Julie teach a kid karate, but the idea was unfortunately scrapped.

The longing looks, the flirtatious glances, the smiles, their dancing, and their first kiss, it's all I could hope to have in a relationship of my own someday.
