Just be confident and the test isn’t that difficult. Honestly it does depends on the instructor you’ll get but try your best and be positive! Best of luck to anyone who reads this and don’t listen to the negative comments
i thought you were joking. it’s aweful. i just took my drivers test today. the first thing she said to me when i got in the car was and i quote “Don’t even think about asking me about what the speed limits are, because I will absolutely not be telling you.” other than that it went totally fine and “normal”. she was relatively quiet except for complaining about how she has too long of a lunch break because she gets too tired now that she has an hour break instead of a half hour. also she mentioned making two other girls cry before my test. i got back to the dmv and she sat me and my dad down and she told him i ran 6 stop signs and she was scared for her life. i in fact did not and she definitely was not scared for her life. she was basically flat out lying for ten minutes to my dad. i even started crying in the middle of the conversation, and she just smiled and was super condescending. by the end my dad asked her, “did she even do anything right?” she was like “it’s not my job to talk about what she did right.” long story short i can not imagine a worse experience. i think i’m going to try carson next and hopefully that will be better.
I’m pretty sure it’s the same examiner I had. She’s awful. And lies. I had a camera on my car built in but they always had it removed so they can lie. I’m sorry to hear about your experience.
Do not take your driving test here in Reno DMV. The women instructors failed all other people who took their tests the same day I took mine. It’s been my 2nd take and it’s a mistake to go back here. And the last instructor - an old lady said that they based their assessment through their feelings. They make up stuff to justify why they fail you. And she also said none of them instructors passed the first time and they had to do it 3x. She also told us the average retakes they have in 3x. Go to Carson instead!
Yeah, the reno dmv is the absolute worst. I failed my first test for nonsense reasons and my instructor for my make up test wouldn't even let me take it because he said my doors weren't working properly and he had a problem with my seat belt. It was the exact same car I used for the first test. I have an actual make up test on the 28th and I'm hoping it'll actually go well, or I'm looking into carson as well.

I took my road test this morning at 8:30 am and I failed. The examiner says we have to fix major mistakes that I did. When I turned left, I crossed the double yellow solid line.
Sorry to hear that. Crossing double yellows is a critical error - other then when you may be turning left into a driveway or alley. You nail it next time. Good luck.
You should always Signal, check Mirrors, Over the Shoulder Check, then Go, when: - Changing lanes - Pulling into traffic (like if you were parked on the side of the road) If simply making a right hand turn from the right lane, no need to SMOG but always make it apparent to the examiner that you are scanning for pedestrians and other cars. Do u only do smog when changing lanes or like turning to a street?
