Bike lane is automatic marked down as dangerous move, if you fail to look completely over the shoulders before merging to bike lane to make a right turn …always signal first then look over shoulders! all the best in next test! 👍
Yup that’s how I failed my first try
Learned this the hard way 😂
Well see I just know my examinor was garbage cause this guy said I could gro through the bike lane to pass a car
Yes !!! I had everything good just didn’t check over my shoulder so it was a automatic fail 😢
Same here since my mom taught me to drive the Asian way, not the American way. 😊
After 2 fails I finally got my license, without having to retake the test. It's pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 year then I renew again, works in all states.
My little advice.
* If you think are too nervous for the test drive then you can easily switch to a provisional driver license which you won't need to test drive. A provisional licence is not very different from an official licence.
How??
Who helped you?
I just had my second test yesterday and I can tell you that I did so awful and failed it again, just a little mistake and you fail smh 😢
I want to consider switching to a provisional license and skip the test too, how can I contact The agent or yourself. Your response would be very much really appreciated

I failed my test the first time (04.13) because I was going 32 in a 25 + I forgot to put on my turn signal when I was turning out of the parking lot , but I went back a week later (04.22) and PASSED! I was so happy. I watched these videos months before my test date and I loved each and every one of them. Good luck to everyone taking their test soon! Don’t be nervous , show them who’s boss :)
Congratulations 🎉
Passed my test today, a lot easier than I thought! You guys got this, as long as you know the basics you will be fine
Congrats!!
@@RoadTestSuccess Thank you! These videos helped a lot!!
As someone who has become very comfortable with driving I have picked up a few bad habits that I need to break before my test next week, my biggest fear is swerving slightly when checking my blind spot and switching lanes
i feel like i do that too lol
A lot of new drivers do it I still end up doing it from time to time

Constantly repeat your search pattern so that your over shoulder check is to verify what your search pattern was telling you.
i had the best examiner ever 😂 she was literally helping me out telling me the speed limits and no turn on reds
They can’t do that

But nobody drives like this in real life unfortunately lol. Look at 10:15, SUV didn't care it was in the bike lane. That's how it is in the city too.
Same! So that I don't make mistakes
First comment! Thanks so much for watching and your continued support. Wishing you many years of safe driving!
I can’t stop watching these. Hopefully I remember what I learned along with from practicing driving and that I don’t fuck up during my test in July 😩 I’m so nervous
Edit: my drivers test is July 18, 2022 😬
You can do it. Good luck!
@@RoadTestSuccess thank you!! 😭
You'll be ok. The driver's test isn't too difficult. As long as you've had lots of practice behind the wheel, you should pass first try.
I got my license last Friday and videos like this help
Me toi
took my test a few days ago. i was scared to turn right on red so we waited at the red light for 3+ minutes... i was scared the examiner was going to fail me for that, but it wasn't a critical error. passed with only 4 deductions!
Girl ur lucky ur not in California here it’s 3 markdowns max
Yay🎉!!!!
Caution is usually a good thing.
@@spiralations7304 I believe the 3 markdowns are only for the pre-driving checklist where you identify your vehicles controls. While driving you can make no more than 15 errors but no critical errors in CA.
Mine was today and glad I passed my road test good luck to everyone you will do great.
Just passed mine 4/29/22 in Cincinnati Ohio and I'm so happy, whoever is doing theirs soon try to relax and be confident, you got this!
Was it your first try
I passed my test last year in march. I was nervous & had a lot of anxiety before the test. I had prayed before the driver instructor got in the car. But guess what god answered my prayer. Soon as we began I didn’t have a ounce of nervousness or anxiety in my body. Just be cool & relax. You will pass. Amen 🙏🏽
amen!!
I already got my license back in January so now I can watch these videos and just be chilling
I did the opposite of what everyone told me to do. I was an older adult, I have a diagnosed anxiety disorder, had just split up with my live-in gf of 15 years (she chose career over relationship) so I was an emotional wreck, and it was raining. I had everything against me and I could feel a panic attack coming on as I was waiting for my name to be called in the waiting area. I stopped myself, convinced myself that there was NO WAY I was going to pass with everything working against me. As a result of accepting I was already going to fail when I got behind the wheel, I was able to focus on driving instead of "not failing" and it felt like I was just doing my practice runs with my sister. I was even talking about restaurants with the evaluator and my instructor as a witness (not a family member) the entire time. I had one instance where a car was speeding around a blind curve and I was able to see it coming and react before anyone else did and that impressed them both. I had a hickup when I was parallel parking and they could tell I was getting anxious. So the evaluator gave me a second crack at parallel parking but instead of pulling out and starting over I looked around, and corrected my position, then proceeded with the parking as normal and he told me I passed. He was particularly impressed with how i could take a bad situation and navigate it with excellent reaction time. So now I have my license (and my ex-gf still doesn't have hers). 😁 I even took my test in the rain and passed!
Congratulations. 😮
Just passed the road test on my third try. I have watched all videos on this channel, and it definitely helped me to get that "sense"
Just passed my driving test yesterday on my fourth attempt. Best wishes to everyone taking/retaking the test. Always remember to breath and YOU GOT THIS!!!
Great job!
I took my test on 10/21 and passed it. Towards end of test I had to contend with a bicyclist, which made me a bit nervous but I and the drivers behind me all moved to the lane to the left of the bicyclist so we could increase our speed. My instructor was pleased with my signalling, lane change, keeping enough distance behind bicyclist, etc.
I’ll take my test on this Friday.
Update: I passed my road test today!
Good Luck!
I took my driver’s test at this location yesterday (Fremont, CA) and passed! Watching this video before I took my test helped a lot. I took a similar route to this person. Also for some reason I wasn’t required to do reverse/backing testing, I think I just tested during a busy day so the instructor skipped that part.
Great job!
Wow! congrats! what time did you pick for your drive test?
@@themalimbans9156 Thank you! I tested Wednesday on 9:20 AM, but I arrived 30 minutes early because there’s a long wait
@@JaimiQiu is there a lot of traffic during that time, my test is also at 9:20, but it’s next week

I passed my test last month I’m just here for entertainment but anyone that has a test soon I wish you luck
In California, if you’re taking a right turn and cannot fit into the bike lane safely, you should wait behind the last car at the red light until it’s safe to proceed. You aren’t required to enter the bike lane if it would be unsafe or impossible to fit. Here’s how to handle the situation during a behind-the-wheel test:
Wait if necessary: Since there was a red signal and a car in front of you, remain stopped behind that car rather than forcing your vehicle into a bike lane.
Prepare to merge only if safe: If space opens up closer to the intersection and traffic allows, you may then enter the bike lane (if the dotted lines appear) before making your right turn. California law permits merging into the bike lane within 200 feet of an intersection if it’s safe to do so.
Observe the light: When the light turns green and it's your turn to go, complete your turn by checking all surrounding lanes (especially for bikes).
Mine is today at 10 and snowing but i PASSED my test Thank you for videos it helped me a lot, i wish all of you will pass your test
Just passed!!! My advice is to look over your shoulder even if it doesn’t make sense and be confident and chill
How was parking? I’m trying to practice.
@@kendrawaybright5958 not too bad. Just make sure you practice so it becomes second nature. At least on mine I got 2 chances. I failed the first one but did the second fine, just make sure you relax and don’t think too much

I failed twice, the first one because she say i didnt see my mirrors when i was going backwards. Second one because of bike line. I just passed today so im happy
for your first time, do u have to alternate between using mirrors and rear view while moving backwards?
@@charlotte.trammmyeah I'd like to know that too
Definitely become familiar with the DMV of choice, as well as surrounding streets. This was how I passed mine on the first try!
In dmv book it is mentioned you can’t go ahead of bicyclist you should merge into the bicyclist lane after bicyclist pass
I take my behind-the-wheel driving test today June 6, also I might add that I am 44 years old and I have never ever had a driver's license, so it's even more critical for me to pass. Thanks in advance
Did you pass ? I just passed my Road test June 9th , 2023. I am 47 but it's not my first license.
Just passed my driving test, y’all got this just don’t crash or drive off a cliff or rear and a garbage truck or drive into a lake and you’ll be fine (learned from experience)
Bruh i did a virtual test with a camera in the car with me at the warner robins dmv here in Georgia. It was pretty easy compared to having a instructor in the car and my moms next to me. She couldn't say anything or they'd fail me outright but they guided me through with her phone i just went through everything fairly easy. Got an 84 mostly because i hit the cone slightly on the reverse parking/3 point turn. Parallell parking was a breeze. Just check over your shoulder often and your mirrors when doing it. Went through some neighborhood slowly and a few turns to get back to the dmv and bam i was done! Oh and please please please signal whenever you turn!!! Thats whats gonna hit you the most. Even when backing out of a parking spot or going into a spot etc . Stop fully and a stop sign or red light and dont blow through a yellow. Stop at the yellow! No rolling stops. Look both ways before entering the road always!!!
my instructor always say when you turn left or right from an intersection, do not leave a space big enough for a vehicle between your car and the line/ curb/ turning point. this helped me a lot
I failed my first driving test because of the bike lane error. The bike lane was narrow, and there was no sign or mark on the ground. When the examiner told me I failed because of a bike lane error, I had to ask the examiner, "What bike lane? Where was the bike lane?" Be cautious of the bike lane in the City where you drive.
not taking my test soon but starting drivers ed in about 2 months, these videos have helped calm my nerves about being behind the wheel in any sort of way, plus it’s pretty entertaining. fun to learn too.
Enjoy the process!
Passed mine 3 years ago, only advice I can say is try to get as much time on the road as possible before your test and you’ll be fine, it isn’t as scary as most people think.
passed the test today at 10 am with only 2 errors at the dmv the video is in. Knowing to check the shoulder beforehand on the bike lane was really helpful as I would've probably failed also.
I have mine on May 24th so nervous but I think it will be fine. Wish me luck!!

can’t blame this new driver, bike lanes can be confusing and their not all universal, every city has different types of bike lanes. Literally today I was driving downtown and there was a bike only lane that was so wide it look like a regular car lane when I almost turned into it.

@@crispcris3198 Yeah me too, but I guess it depends on your age. Also you can try and book an appointment online to see if it lets you which in my case it did.
I was failed the same way. My instructor told me that it’s better to not merge and check than to merge and not check. regardless, in real life you need to turn into the bike line to turn.

Hi. Did you give your exam in Davis DMV?
So glad they are teaching this on the drivers test. How do we update all those already out there, besides the dents my face has left on the rear passenger quarter panel?
Just wondering. I think the reason she didn’t occupy the entire lane was because she didn’t think she could’ve fit. So if we were in her shoe, would we have just not gone into the bike lane and stayed in our own lane until we needed to take the turn, check our blind spot and mirror, go into the bike lane, and then take the turn?
i dont think that would have been safe to do either bc what if there already cars in the bike lane?
I would've just stayed behind the black Ute and then turned right
This was extremely informative and is something I didn’t know awesome video!! At my local dmv the examiners are rude and nasty so im a little afraid
I did a mistake at the same spot yesterday. I merged into the bike lane but stop a little bit ahead of the solid white line on a red signal.

Where did you give your road test ? And did they actually took you on road or in just their own premises? And what all were you asked to do? I have mine on June 3rd, would really appreciate it if you could answer the above questions.
Thanks!
@@juhipanchal2651 I live in Illinois, so I gave it in a city a bit north of Chicago. Some of it was done in the DMV premises, but we did go out on the main roads. All I really did was reverse out of the parking spot, go through a few stop signs, make like two or three turns at intersections, and a 3 point turn. That was about it.
congrats!

after asking her to turn right, she has to s.m.o.g, which takes 2 or 3 seconds, at which point she has literally no room to fit her car completely into the bike lane. good example of how the test sets people up to fail with stiff rules that don't take the real world into account.
Thanks for the videos. Did mine today and passed on first attempt.

@@zavierrxx sorry for the late reply 😭 but apparently with right turns you have to merge and be in the bike lane to complete the turn, that’s what the person told me and why she failed me
@@zavierrxx but I actually retook my test last weekend at a new location & my new examiner didn’t mention anything about turning into the bike lane & I passed so 🤷♀️🤷♀️
I ended up failing my test on the first try because I didn't check my mirrors/blind spot when pulling into a bike lane to make a right turn (most likely at a stop sign). HOWEVER, he marked it as "intervention with examiner" instead of a dangerous maneuver like he should've done. But I do remember making a right turn after stopping at a stop sign and letting a lady cross the street I was turning into. Maybe I didn't check again when she finally crossed to the other side idk I think she was still in the bike line when I made the turn and didn't look as I was about to make the turn. WHY WOULD HE MARK IT IN THE WRONG CDE CATEGORY? I told my friend about this and he said it might've just been the examiner and having a bad day. I did have to wait over an hour and a half to finally start the driving test after arriving 30 minutes early before our registered appointment.
TLDR: Failed the first time bc of forgetting to do check behind me before making a right turn when pulling into a bike lane (dashed lines) and it was marked differently.

Other than scheduling conflicts for other testers after you, how come the instructor can't explain what they failed for and then allow them to test again directly after?
Like if this video didn't end when it did but instead he said, "Are you ready to try again?" to see if she is able to correct her errors and get a passing test instead of going through the whole process of having to schedule another appointment?
I could see how if they failed the NEXT attempt then they would encourage they get more practice/training before returning.
Esp if it was only that one error that failed instead of multiple ones.
