    Can it pull a vacuum head (maybe like 2-3ft of gasoline
    ? Does it use a piston-solenoid type actuation? seems like it vibrates alot...I've seen a similiar video of a pump with a ton of vibes and output looked like rythmic spurts....so im hoping this type of pump can "pump-air" to self prime the fuel if installed on-top of a fuel tank.

    can someone respond me , i did same thing with 12v 1.5a charger i destroyed for this test and i only hear short vibrations for a sec or two and then they stop. is 1.5 too small amperage for this test?

      The amperage draw is probably written somewhere on the pump body. Test the pump with a 12v car or tractor battery. If it doesn’t pump, replace it. They’re not very expensive.

    Should my Generac have constant power to the fuel pump, while it is running?

      in my opinion, yes

    I'm thinking to use such pump for water
    Is that okay?

    • @Buckwsr
      @Buckwsr  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This pump came from a gasoline-powered generator, so it is specifically designed to pump gas. I'm sure there are similar ones out there designed for water.....

      Yep that works. A German did a test and ran it for 10 days straight with water to test it.
      3.5m high to pump and 1.8m suction

    seems kind of dangerous. Can get a spark when connecting the leads

      Yea obviously you will be using a switch dumb ass. It’s a test

    It Can work fine for a minutes, test it on a period of time

    • @Buckwsr
      @Buckwsr  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, it's back on the generator, working great, so I think we're all good now.

    These pumps will pump intermittently when they fail, so this test is inconclusive.

      Thanks. I trust you. But happily, this pump is back on the RV generator and working perfectly.

    Pretty dangerous operation with an open container of fuel and a 12 v battery with alligator clips inches away. Longer wires 4 to 5 feet away from the fuel source would be a much safer option. Just saying.

      In retrospect I guess you're right. Didn't occur to me at the time. In case you're wondering, the experiment went fine, and no animals or people were harmed!

      There's nothing sissy about being smart and safe.

    Tested my pump with cooking oil first.

    • @Buckwsr

      That's safer than gasoline, I would have to admit....
