I feel like if they all met, they wouldn't really have much to say, they'd look at eachother and know that they're standing across a similar man in respects to themselves and a great warrior. Such pain
well except Musashi, mans livin' the dream he chose and is successful to boot. Remember this guy ran away from home after possibly murdering his dad and then proceeds to murder his way to fame. About the closest thing we can actually say was tragic was how he lost an adopted kid through the barbaric practices of the day... Japan doesnt like adoption...

@@Aladius the story of these three isnt the same sure, but thats irrelevant, all of them were a story of triumphing through struggles the world throws over your shoulders.
well what you say actually happens in vagabond. musashi and koujirou stand face to face in battle and they do not recognize each other as enemies, instinctally.
I love the idea that Thorfinn is taking a moment to vent with two wise, older strugglers simply listening with sympathy and understanding.
Musashi lived during the 16th century and the world of berserk is set pretty much after the hundred year war, so 15th century, while Thorfinn lived during the 11th, so technically he is older than both of them. and also Guts is still in his early 20s if you believe it, the man has suffered too much

I feel like guts an musashi would tell their stories an thorfinn would tell his last an they all would take a moment to reflect. While guts an Musashi have amazing stories an guts is my favorite protagonist of all time, Thorfinn journey is more enlightening an it reflects onto all of these mens journeys in equal but different ways

If it gets an anime adaptation it certainly will.

The best three masterpieces ever made
I love coming back to this every time I need a moment to think, to meditate. To take a deep breath, looking back at all the steps I took, to all the suffering, the pain. All the good and bad times. Every single second I've spent building the great man I became, even tho there are times where I doubt myself. But no, I'm better. I'm becoming the best version of myself, for my family, for my friends, for my woman, for myself.
Keep fighting, guys. I know there are times where everything looks like shit and you think that there's no exit, that the pain won't stop, but that's not true. You will be out of that. You will end that toxic relatioship, you will escape your inner torments, you will change your job for a better one, you will win against your depression, you will beat your dissease, you will get better friends. You will win. You will be better. I assure you, you will.
Because I've been there. And I've done it.
[The crackling fire lights up the night as the three warriors sit in a circle, the stars twinkling above. Musashi, Thorfinn, and Guts begin to open up about their experiences, their innermost thoughts, and their shared struggles.]
Musashi: [Gazing into the flames] You know, sometimes I wonder if my quest for strength has been worth the sacrifices. The battles I've fought, the lives I've taken... it all feels like an endless cycle of violence.
Guts: [Sharpening his sword] I understand that feeling all too well. The Brand of Sacrifice... a curse that binds me to an eternity of bloodshed. But even in the darkest moments, I hold onto the flicker of hope that drives me forward.
Thorfinn: [Looking up at the stars] My childhood was marked by revenge, consumed by the need to avenge my father's death. But as I traveled, I realized there's more to life than just seeking vengeance. There's a world beyond the shadows of hatred, and I want to find my place in it.
Musashi: [Nodding] It's true, isn't it? Despite our pasts, we continue to strive for something greater. I've come to understand that true strength lies not just in the sword, but in one's spirit and resolve.
Guts: [Gazing into the distance] For me, it's about finding a place where I belong, where I can finally rest. My journey has been one of survival, but I've met people along the way who've shown me the power of camaraderie and trust. It's a rare gem in a world full of treachery.
Thorfinn: [Softly] Yes, camaraderie... it's something I've come to value as well. I've learned that forging bonds with others can mend even the deepest wounds.
Musashi: [Smiling faintly] Bonds that endure the trials of life... they are what give us the strength to keep moving forward, to face the demons that haunt us.
Guts: [Exhales deeply] Demons we all carry within, both metaphorical and literal. But it's how we confront them that defines us.
Thorfinn: [Eyes gleaming with determination] Indeed. It's about transcending our own limitations and becoming more than the sum of our pasts.
[As the embers dim, the three warriors continue to share their stories, finding solace and understanding in each other's struggles, dreams, and the enduring spark of hope that flickers within.]

I feel sad, lonely but also hopeful listening to this. I've been struggling my whole life. It's hard and sometimes I wonder if it's worth continuing to struggle. Then I'm reminded of Guts will to live. I hope he finds peace one day and I hope I do too.

Something that always struck me about Berserk is that, contrary to every other manga I've read, its protagonist grows weaker, older, frailer as the story goes on. First he loses his arm and then, through the Faustian bargain of the Berserker armor, he gains superhuman strength, but only at the cost of his flesh, blood and mind. Seeing his body wither away made me feel real sorrow but also made me appreciate the story so much more. Rest in peace, Miura.

Remain strong 'till the day that the faith is gone
You gotta appreciate how similar their stories are while simultaneously having very unique designs from each other. Not even mentioning apparel, a majority of popular manga protagonists are visually kids around the age of 15-17, and all have short mildly varied spiky hair, with the biggest discernible difference between any of them being swapped color palettes. As a new manga reader, you wouldn't be able to tell any of them apart from the neck down, where-as these three have their own distinct silhouettes all through-out their design that directly reflects their life history and personalities. The messy unkempt hair and terrible posture, the hardened muscles and missing limb, the obviously composed and lanky man who is restless. I wish Shonen as a genre took more inspiration from these visuals instead of simply adding a scar onto the protagonist every once in a while. No, actually change the character's physical appearance, evolve their identity, get a new hair cut, grow it out, be a real human being.
One beautiful aspect of Berserk is the fact that we follow Guts' entire story, from birth until where we are now. Apparently post-Miura Berserk will finish the story with the next arc, I really wonder what the conclusion to our beloved struggler will be ❤

I couldn’t get myself into Vinland saga. I may try it again in the future.
Men, it's time we sit down and stop our minds for a bit and rest. We might not ever see each other again, but at least we have this moment to remember what is important...we're all still different under the sun and moon, but we all at least are far and near from our goal. The road is our dream and the destination is when we are finally mature.
I find it hard to find happiness if i know that somewhere else in this world people dont have the safety and freedom that i have living in europe. I want to live in a world without suffering, without wars where people declare peace and friendship instead of war and hate. This is my dream, a world wich I sadly will never experience, but i hope that one day my dream can become reality.
You really captured Guts and Thorfinn’s character in their songs. I can picture Thorfinn looking across the sea as the sun sets, thinking of Vinland and his father as it plays. Gut’s song also sounds like a wolf howling alone into the night, similar to how his character is often represented as a dog and how he often withdraws himself from others. I can’t speak for Vagabond as I haven’t read it yet but it still sounds beautiful. Great music brother 👍
Conheci Berserk a pouco tempo e a história de guts é o que mais me chamou a atenção, alguém que nao tinha motivos pra viver encontrou um "amigo" e no final foi traído, e mesmo dando tudo errado na vida de guts ele continua lutando, sempre quando fico desanimado ou estou cansado eu lembro dele e continuo me esforçando. Guts é a personificação da perseverança. 💪🗿

I love that in all three manga these guys depict what true balanced masculinity should be. Not blustering bravado, but quiet and subdued contemplation.

Well it's not meaningless, but you will find that out for yourself someday - and when you do - that moment will likely be the most important in your entire life. But it has to be you that comes to that realization with all of your being. It is the truth, we will all someday see it.
I am doing bodybuilding for 6 years because it was my dream to go to mr olympia, then i met my girlfriend and gave up my dreams i stopped taking gear and didn't go to the gym every day because of her. I lost 10 kg of mucles in 4 months but it was fine because i love her so much. Time has pass she is losing more and more interesst in me she doesn't text me often any more and sometimes she doesn't reply me any more. I asked hdr whats wrong she said she doesn't have much time any more but she still love me, but i don't believe that. I think it will be over soon. I am waiting that she breaks up with me. I can not do it myself because i don't got it in my heart to tell her it is over because i really love her. I feel like shit right now and this beautiful video is helping me a lot thanks.

I can just imagine the looks on Thorfinn's and Musashi's face listening to Guts' story about literal demons from his world. Not comparing struggles because that is the wrong way to view things, but just these 2 warriors hearing that in his world you really do have enemies and you need the strength to fight them off as they hunt you endlessly. The respect would be immense at that table, even for things you might not expect like Thorfinn's planted field.

【Sunglasses Finnish Pirates】I listened a playlist with this picture, i did not realize Thorfinn was there if you had not noted him at the title, i have unknown eye condition that makes my right eye sore to sunlight & concentration due to astaxanthing usage and i've lost my near sight for 30 mins then 13 hours max i did not check since i did not dare but this was due to a medicine for stress bladder at nigth what this sickness caused. Don't worry it's because i am finnish "Finns are a unique most secluded gene group, with most North-Asian DNA of the Euro people and medical science studies us for our unique illnesses." so my BFF 41v y man said that if he were a viking he as finnish never were but we both have ancestry from Sweden & Germany so vikings heritage still (Germans migrated from Scandinavia) my BFF said he would use dual Seax Vikings daggers, it was not long from that, that the Vinland Saga started and i said to my BFF "you're Thorfinn, he used dual Seax!) :D I wanted to be Canute then :)

I like Thorfinn as a character, but his way of thinking will only lead to even more suffering.
In which regard?
We can play damage control for eternity, or we can actually try to aspire to something greater. I, for one, do not plan to cast my lots into a world of damage control. As much as I understand that ideology, it creates a system of hurt after hurt after hurt. The only way to stop the hurt is for every person to agree to stop.
And if this is impossible, then life is meaningless anyways. Why should I care about 90 years of damage control?
I'd rather hope for a day when justice is established and the fruits of my labors produce peace for all.
They need to make a better Berserk game.
I have known and experience real horror, watching Berserk made me went through a whole PTSD again. As Berserk I have been through a lot of amount of pain, loss and now I'm disabled.There's nothing soothing in watching this, I don't understand :(
