I remember when I first found this piece. I left it on repeat for hours, I literally couldn't stop listening to it because it was so beautiful. I didn't know what Berserk was at the time, but a while later I picked it up and I immediately feel in love with it. I now have you to thank for that. The dark atmosphere, sombre tone, and haunting restfulness of this piece has truly defined the essence of the manga to me, even more so than the violence and bloodshed, the hatred, the trauma, there is this. Just a man enduring the darkest and most painful realities, with no salvation or paradise to escape to, and continuing on anyway. Berserk has taught me how to do that.
Found this track the day after my grandfathers passing, he was like a second father to me. I was there in his final hours and this…this helped me reflect, mourn, open up from it

For me Guts is not a warrior or a hero, he is an inspiration, a man, just like the rest of us, he shows us that through all troubles and hardships it is never worth giving up, for it is the story of Griffith that shows this, Griffith tired, weak and saddened decides to kill himself, to give in to the pain he is feeling in doing so everything is lost, but the will of Guts lives on and so does the pain, the pain which Griffith so easily abandoned. It is this contrast between lost and continuous pain where we find Guts’s strength, to push onward where your previous partners had not, to grow with honour and not deceit. I just finished 345-355 and I'm demolished. I cried multiple times, and I should just take it at a slower pace. It's the best story I've ever read and admired. Art is phenomenal. I listen to Berserk music while reading, and it's also phenomenal. Thanks for this music, I'll continue. Struggle. Endure. Contend.

Hating; a place where a man can't stand sadness is a paradoxical but true statement. It also gives implication that hate is preferable to sadness... which imo is.
