I have 2 of these to combine the power output to a transfer switch. I used to keep ethanol free gas in the newer one and 91 octane in the other. The ethanol free fuel burned a lot quicker than the 91 so its kind of a pain in the ass because after a 6 hour outage the gen with ethanol free was at a quarter tank and the 91 was at a half tank
That’s interesting. If I can get more runtime from normal gasoline, then for sure I will keep that in mind during the next outage. Thanks for the comment.
I bought it on eBay many years ago, but the seller is gone now or changed names. You should be able to find a very similar one there. Also, I had to grind out some of the pre-drilled holes because they didn’t align properly which was a pain. Just make sure you find a kit that uses the cotter pins and drilled axels to secure the wheels and not the caps because they will come off. Edit: Not sure if this is the same seller, but this looks like the same kit or very similar. www.ebay.com/itm/276552343810
That’s going to depend on your exact situation. I’ve heard of people running their home central AC with as little as 7k watts (Honda EU7000IS), but I think they had to modify their breaker panel and/or get a soft start for their compressor. I would recommend getting sized for a whole home standby generator if that is something you’re interested in. It’s also going to be a lot more convenient using natural gas and not filling gas tanks if you have the money to invest.

Can you link to the wheel and axle set up you have please?

What would you need to power the central air system?

Keep an eye on your amp draw, don’t fry your cables
That was a concern of mine, but in this situation the extension cords did not warm up whatsoever to indicate a large draw. Thanks for the comment.
