Yugioh is Cheap!

Playing the #1 most competitive deck sure will always be pricey but to do well in an event, make sure you can confidently check these boxes below.
1) knowing your deck (side patterns, gameplan, strengths and weaknesses)
2) Not Misplaying (often)
3) Playing the correct utility cards
^ I promise you these things are way more important than playing the top competitive deck.
*This video is mainly for people who are looking to do well and top events. You dont need the top meta deck to do that. Play what you like.

You forgot to mention that you can do well with a deck like swordsoul that doesn't need sp or anything like that and then build up store credit and then you CAN afford the broken decks. From there you can trade to pick up more cards. So when you set out on your yugioh journey you dont need money to play the cards you want to play. You just need to be patient.

Great vid, couldn’t agree more with the sentiment. You can play decks for less than 100$ and still be competitive…
You don’t need to play snake eyes, etc

I was talking about this with people at my local. People complain about card prices but we have the advantage of playing in the TCG. Meaning we know what's coming out months in advance and we can playtest those cards with 0 investment. People just don't do their own research. We knew SP Little Knight was going to be broken months before AGOVs release. As a player you should keep up with the OCG and see the trends and incorporate it into the TCG. Make good investments and have a plan when building for the future formats.
